Playstation Rewards program is back!

I really love the CS of this site. I wasn't able to finish my polls for this week to get my points. They told me that they would credit my account so I would be able to get the full points. They're always helpful. Anyways, I'm one week closer to trying to get that copy of NBA 2K12.
 
What are our thoughts on next months prize? Anyone have any speculation?

I ask, since I truly know we don't have any idea, because I noticed that subway is running another promotion- this time for Uncharted 3. In the past, I received a copy of infamous 2, and LBP 2 from a subway promotion and both were prizes for a month of house party.

Is it wishful thinking to hope that U3 will be a prize next month?
 
If it's Uncharted 3, I hope they don't do one of those "HEY, WE'RE ONLY GIVING IT TO FOUR PEOPLE!" type of things. This month, I like that they're giving everyone a game to play, AND a chance at NBA 2k12. It's really generous.

I'd go out and buy Uncharted 1 and 2 if they offered it.
 
The only reasons its "hey we only giving out to x number of people" is because those games aren't made by SOE its also why I think there aren't slashing the upc codes. Uncharted is an SOE game, but if they do give it out theres a chacne they will only give out digital download code. SOE (Sony Online Entertainment)

A) Move heroes, inFAMOUS 2 were both part of this promo and were also HP prizes.
B) LBP 2 was part of the last one and part of a Subway promo
C) I think its wishful thinking, but Sony has to do something... common sense says no (due to the higher number of people), but they could just give out the combo pack. Who really knows... logically speaking though... we will get some form of trash.

If you read their email. It states that they will come prior to the end of the month.
 
I'm really hoping for a copy of NBA 2k12. It's a game that I will eventually buy, and it would be pretty sweet to be able to play it now for free.
 
my guess is a code for the new infamous psn game will be a prize next month.
1) its after halloween and its current promotion
2) its first party
3) falls in line with the whole "here is a code as prize" mentality.

Why are we even guessing? When it comes to logic; Sony has been showing a lack there of.

Looking at the history...

We've gotten

  • T rated games
  • 3rd party games
  • Party favors (over madden)
  • Swag that turned out to be a worthless DLC code for an old avatar pack
  • a 2 year old game
  • a 1st party game prior to release
  • redeemable vouchers
  • Only for PS move
  • no move support
  • raffles
  • DLC for games we don't own

so I mean... really under the fact at hand. ANY game playable on the ps3 in the united states could be given and or branded item.

That's all I ask. I applied after seeing Infamous 2 being offered, but by the time I got in, they stopped offering actual good games.

Free is free, but free good stuff would be even better.

Free is free man. I haven't bought too many PS3 games because of this site.

I think it would be a travesty if they didn't offer up a good game, or at least a chance at one, considering how big November is going to be.
 
Yeah, part of the reason I'm not going to buy Uncharted 3 right away is because of the possibility, no matter how small, that we may get it for free on this site.

Got all my points for the month. At least I'm getting one free game with a chance at a second. Also hoping for a shot at Uncharted 3, but if they want to swing me anything else remotely decent and I'm in. Just please no downloads with expiring codes that I'm not going to use in time.

I am in the EXACT place you are!
I heard about it when I saw that inFamous was being offered and by the time they accepted me, that promo was over.
And now, I too am waiting patiently for something equally as awesome as even the Ratchet and Clank we got. And that was even an old game that I am sure most of us who wanted it already had.

But I am never one to look a gift hourse in the mouth.

Now, what in the bloody hell are we supposed to do with these for a game we do not have?

Give them away to fellow CAGers - that's what I do with codes for stuff I dont have and that's what I'll do for these.
 
Has anybody ever wondered what Sony/Playstation is actually getting out of this promotion? I don't really think that it is much of a promotion at all. If it forced us to post to Facebook/MySpace/Twitter or actually made us post pictures of us sharing the PS brand (and actually checked them), then I could see them continuing to give out the so-called "good" prizes, but what do they really get out of this? Some posts in the House Party site that most of us never read, but when we do read them say things such as, "Good luck!" or, "Got my points!".

It just seems that to me that they may not getting much bang for there buck and maybe they should have worked a bit to tweak the PS Rewards that was in beta. That one gave them something.

As Stan Lee says, "'Nuff said."

The point of this is nice and simple.

1) Get people into new games. Like if I get inFAMOUS 2 for free, then I will ideally speak fondly to my friends/on twitter/something.
2) The polls are the key. They're to gauge how much people retain, marketing information and other such data.

Remember if I post something pointless or what they want... neither helps anyone anymore.

Good point. I think this site gets enough good press from word of mouth. I tell all of my coworkers and friends about this site, and I howi get free games. I'm sure other people do the same thing as well. I remember when I got MLB 2K11, and motorstorm apocalypse in the mail...I initially thought. I can't remember buying these, lol. I ran and told everyone.
 
So I sent a couple of emails to support with screenshots and still haven't got credit for the polls. It's too bad because I'm only 10 points shy of tier 3 prizes. I guess I'll start maxing out my points ASAP in the future.

That's the best thing to do man. I always try and complete my points by Monday. I feel like the points update faster on Monday as well.
