For a while, I thought that but then I realized that most of the time the best prices are at NewEgg anyway.

the case + Psupply seems a bit on the high side. i bought my case with a 450W(maybe 500, i forget) for like $90 and it works fine. And its one of those green cases with glass siding, etc that looks all snazzy with lights.
I have 3 SATA hard drives(2 in RAId 0 config), 2gb RAM, a dvd drive, dvd burner, BFG 7800GT, and athlon 3500+ and they all work fine.

Oh, and as far as hard drives go - it might be worth it to get a cheapo drive to start, or recycle your current and wait for a good sale.
The two HDs I have in RAID are 80gig Maxtor SATA's - Total cost? $70 each + $8.40 tax - $70 rebate on each = $8.40.
Can't really beat that.
