Its that time of year again for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life at UC Davis. This event is to raise money for cancer research so please donate in honor of those fighting the fight and in memory of those who have lost the battle. Please support my team. Please post in other places or send emails if you can. Or if you have some fundraising ideas, please let me know. The least you could do is help bump me=). Thank you all for your help!

Here is some information is you care to read about it.

Can you believe that more than 1.3 million new cancer cases are expected to be diagnosed in the United States this year? Those are staggering statistics, but there is hope. Each of us can do something to save lives and help those already fighting this disease. That’s why I’ve decided to take action against cancer by supporting the American Cancer Society Relay For Life®.

Relay For Life is an overnight event that brings our community together to help support the American Cancer Society and its lifesaving mission to eliminate cancer as a major health problem. The Society works hard every day to prevent cancer and save lives by supporting groundbreaking research, affecting public policies that protect us from cancer, and educating people on how to prevent or detect cancer early. The Society helps people with cancer right here in our own community. And our efforts at Relay For Life can help the American Cancer Society to keep working toward a cancer-free future.

I want to invite you to show your support in the ongoing fight against cancer by joining us for this year’s event. Please click on the link below for more information, including details on the inspirational Survivors’ Lap and the moving Luminaria Ceremony. We hope to see you there! If you can’t join us, will you please visit the site and make a donation to support our efforts? Either way, you will make a real difference in the lives of people facing cancer – and in the lives of the people who love them. Thank you!

You know....people already know about the ACS. You dont actually need to promote any of their events because the people who want to donate for 1) already have a million times so know where to go to do so 2) people who wake up one day and say to themselfs, "hell I want to give money for cancer and find their way to the AMERCIAN CANCER SOCIETY website very easy by just typing in cancer.

So its not that no one wants to help....its more like we know everything you are going to say already...been hearing it for the last 534534534 years.

^ Bingo.

If I donate it's in September for a local cancer run / walk. Or if I get free pins in October I think for Breast Cancer month.

Wow, two words come to mind .. sandy vaginas. The guy's just asking for donations for a good cause. It's funny, I dont see you people leap down the throat of the guy that makes his third "my asshole hurts and I'm shitting blood" thread in a week.
Same.
Yes. A link going to a site where people can donate money towards cancer research is spam.

Take your stupidity elsewhere.

Cut them a break, they aren't very smart.
The "help please???" post is obnoxious.
Yeah, the OP isn't exactly being classy about it.

But you can't expect much from UC Davis students either.

Whoa. I didnt think people (not to many) were being assholes about it. I was simply saying why most people wouldnt post in a thread like this.

We all know about cancer and we all can find a way to donate pretty easy. That was all i was saying.

I dont know about him not being classy about it.....meh none of my concern really.

These people don't know anything, I'm the asshole because I disagree with them a lot, but they aren't assholes for hating cancer people.
