I just bought a plug and play charge kick for my xbox controller how long does it take to charge its the offical xbox one

Ive been playing LFD for 4 hours now and its still not charged is the little green light suppose to be on?
 
just have it plugged in(red light is on play 'n charge), turn off your 360...and the red light will stay active on the controller.
you may still hear your fan spinning on the 360 while it charges the controller.
 
When you're using the controller while it's charging it will take longer to charge than when it's turned off. 4+ hours to charge while playing sounds right from my experience, your kit is not defective.
 
My controller doesn't have a red light ... im going to plug in my controller and leave my xbox on for 20 minutes see if the green light comes on
 
You're making this so much more difficult than it is. You plug it in and play. If the light is red, it's charging. If it's green, it's done. If you're playing, it doesn't really mattered because it's hooked up anyway. It takes a long time (several hours) to charge since you're playing at the same time. This is why I have the quick charge kit.. takes half the time to charge.
 
actually i found out what the problem is the battery pack can't hold a charge im not getting a red light

I tested it out with a friend's battery pack and the red light went on the second i put it in

looks like i have to return it
