You need to put down the bong. Turn off Mass Effect. Detox. Think about what your saying. Then, if you must, then try to participate with the sober adults.
Progressives are really just closet case Libertarians....they just don't know it yet.
Most Libertarians are conservatives, they know it but would just never admit it.
Yeah dudes who do pot are like the last people you should have a conversation about politics.
Like the last 3 presidents?

Deregulation works pretty well when corporations can't use the government to get advantages or punish competitions - which is pretty much Business 101 in today's America.
If there is no gov't that can be used by corporatations then they will and have formed cartels, interest groups, associations that exist to manipulate the society for their own gain.

You need regulations for the inevitable abuse of power. And what we need is not no gov't but gov't that is actually for its population and not just a few private interests. The free market is a fantasy.

Why I consider myself moderate and not a drone neo Con is because I believe highly in personal freedoms of others, even through I may disagree with them with issues such as Abortion, euthanasia etc. I choose not to be a Libertarian because of the backwards core-beliefs that overwhelming all follow blindly.

what about you guys?
I'm exactly the same way. I feel as though just because I believe or don't believe in a given issue, that's not how it has to be for everyone. I feel as though people need the power to make decisions for themselves more so than being regulated into a certain way. Good example of this is: I don't believe in abortion, but I don't feel it is right for me as a man to really dictate what a woman should or shouldn't do simply because I haven't walked a mile in their shoes and don't know what their life is like or what options they have. I don't think any less of someone that has had or hasn't had an abortion, it's just a choice that I wouldn't do if somehow I was ever presented with that type of decision.

I used to really consider myself a very conservative person but really anymore tend to lean moderate and away from the right and more so in the center. I understand the fact that I am an individual and what might be right for me, might not be for someone else.

be honest brah. A government that is only for its population is every bit a fantasy as the free market.
