Take a chance and guess when the ps3 will get a price drop. If youre correct, you may get lucky and angels made of gold will guard you with wanton soup for a full year.

Well I click the I like to click stuff, but the earliest it will be, I would guess is May or June. Hopefully a $100 price drop, but probably $50.

Now these angels, their weapons will be wanton soup, or just have wanton soup for me to eat?

i dont see them dropping the price again anytime soon. if anything there will be more bundles which is the best way to entice people to buy a new console. the mgs4 bundle seemed to do pretty well and was a reason i finally bought one. id guess when alot of the ps3's flagship titles come out there will be a bundle set around some of them. i wouldnt be surprised to see a god of war 3 bundle.

I think fall of 2009, they need to grab people's attention for the holiday season or they may get beat 3 to 1 again (not sure if that claim was true though).

You can get a PS3 price drop right now through dell and being a Dell preferred account member. I got a 80GB PS3 for $323 shipped. Check the dell thread, this might end soon.

I'm thinking Oct just so Sony can make up their yearly targets in the 4th quarter, even with the pressure to drop during spring/summer for the traditional E3 price drop. Also hopefully the US/global economy and US Dollar/Yen conversion will get better by winter to help their numbers, why drop when no one is buying things in general (dropping the price of a PS3 will not help the economy).

There is a rumor posted by the Kokatu website that Sony has an announcement on Tuesday. They think its to announce a price drop for the Playstation 2, but I think its kinda pointless. PS 2 is selling well as it is. If its not to announce the PS 3 price drop, then I'm gonna say November of this year, right around where Uncharted 2 comes out. They'll bundle that game with a $100 price drop.
