Popcorn lovers, you NEED this

I've had one of these for a couple of years-it makes the best popcorn.
I have been putting in regular kernals, but the packages you can buy with the butter packets is real good. Yum.
 
Oh, and just a comment - you can also get white cheddar popcorn and Kettle corn. I didn't really like them, only the regular movie-style butter popcorn variety.

I wonder that sometimes... a stove-top pan makes popcorn just as good as that thing-a-ma-bob.
 
A friend of mine gave me one of those (different brand, but same thing) for Christmas last year. I'm not a popcorn connoisseur, but I think it makes pretty good popcorn. I fire it up every time I watch a movie.
 
That's pretty slick. I've been going through a bunch of different microwave brands (Act II being the worst, Pop Secret being the best) but this would be awesome.
 
the only other thing different is the damn lid. It keeps the corn in the pot but it doesnt prevent it from flowing out and it is useful to pour it out. But yea i just use a nice big pot

Tastewise, this thing kicks the crap out of microwave popcorn anyway...

The whirly-pop is definitely one of the best things ever!! Sure, you can do the same thing with a pan, but then you have to clean it! I've had mine for 5 years and have never washed it!! The grime really adds to the flavor, just like at movie theaters - cept this stuff tastes even better the movie theater popcorn! mmmmmmmmmm :D

--and nothing is worse than microwave popcorn....dried out, burnt smelling with tons of unpopped kernals.. yuck
 
man i might need one of these, I have been wanting to pop my own corn!!! Oh and Cheapy is that what you used to make the popcorn you were eating the other day we were playing NHL??

PS:We still need to pester Alucard about playing Pro Fishing Challenge!!!
