Possible Death of the ,$19.99 & up, GGC

i dont know what your talking about my freind. i see two ggcs now at best buy. one is a normal one which is 19.99 and up like a normal, and i saw a new one which is an ea sports gift card which is 29.99 and up.
 
Nice avatar OP. I know of only one at the moment but I also know that some strange policices have been happening at BB store for some time now. Very YMMV lately I have found and that some stores are phasing out the GGC at all.
 
Last night, I used the regular Best Buy GGC, on Halo 2 Limited Edition. I haven't seen the EA Sports gift card? And I hope, I never do! I also hope my Best Buy doesn't phase out the $19.99 and up GGC...
 
Some other thread on another site said the new GGCs are console specific, one for PS2 games, one for Xbox games and 1 for EA games, all for $29.99 and up games.

I need to get to my local Best Buy and stock up on the older 2005 cards that work on everything before they are pulled.

No Gamecube love? Thats disapointing. Im also disapointed that BB raised the price, but Im sure lots of people abused the GGC.
 
The new GGC's are still for games and accessories $19.99 and up. Instead of being gray and rectangular, they are green, long, and skinny (very inconvenient if you ask me). They expire 12/31/05, so if your BB carries them, you're good through next year.

I've seen GGC that are still $19.99 and up that expire on 12/31/05 to. I can confirm that they are green and the coupon is long and skinny like the quote above. I have two of them right now. I have also seen the $29.99 PS2 GGC also which is strange because why would anyone get that card when the $19.99 exists still.

The topic says "possible death" I don't know . This is was more of a head's up based on my observation of seeing the new $29.99 cards .I know the difference between the Black/Yellow 12/31/04 & the Green/Silver 12/31/05. But I noticed a new card (2 actually ps2 & xbox),and the $29.99 & up. So be cautious and stock up . I usually put $1.00 on my GGC's & now I buy 2-4 at a time .
