Possible Wii Price Cut $150 w/Mario Kart on May 15? No longer rumor
Well the motion controlls were revolutionary when the Wii first arrived. I bought one. The question is what new technology can they deliver? A slightly better graphics system that is comprarable to this Gen systems isn't enough of a step forward by itself. All 3D isn't a good idea most people do not have a 3D TV.
I don't want 3D on my wii. But since the 3D would be dependent on the tv, it wouldn't matter as long as the graphics card can handle it, right?

I honestly have no idea what they could put in the next system. Can they even improve wii motion plus? It seems to be 1 to 1 already.

I figure:

- HD graphics
- camera in the sensor bar
- hard drive
- fix their stupid DRM
- fix online play
- bluray support / player?

A Wii bundled with Mario Kart Wii? If it still has Wii Sports Resort, I might jump on this in May, hopefully there will be a gift card offered by retailers as well.

The technology of the Wii is really cheap....when it came out it was already cheap as is, now 5 years later it is less than 30$ IMO to make (Google how to make a Wiimote).

Selling it at $250 was amazing since they are mostly middle aged women playing on it, or kids. They tend to have no idea on how technology is even if they were to look at the graphical comparison alone. Naivety is a helps someone make a killer profit.

No longer a rumor BB & Target have already leaked their $169 price point probably to spur interest until Nintendo makes an official statement.

Hope no one buys my friend's child a Wii for his birthday following this announcement. I'd easily get him one for $150 with Mario Kart.

Only reason I'd hesitate on a $150 Wii Mario Kart bundle is whether or not they'd release a 25th Zelda Anniversary bundle. I've been looking for a second one to pick up for my room.

Wii may not get many games but it has more than its fair share of fantastic exclusives.
