Post here your Video Game Console Saga (short version only)

Hey there everyone, had an idea today for an interesting topic. I'll post here my "Video Game Console Saga", as best as I can remember. Just post the year you were born, then list the year you got or got rid of a console. Let's not go into to many details and there's no need to post the games you got, let's just focus on consoles here. So, I go first :

1986: Year I was born, yay!
1988: My brother got an old Atari from my uncle, so I got to play too.
1989: My brother and I got our NES.
1990: We got a Mega Drive for birthday, gave the NES to a cousin (bad move!)
1990: A family's friend went to USA and bought us a GameBoy.
1991: Our Atari "disappeared". To this day my family doesn't know where is it lol.
1993: We got a SNES for Christmas.
1995: We got a Sega CD (can't remember why).
1998: Gave the Mega Drive & Sega CD to another cousin, he broke it in the first day .
1998: We got a Nintendo 64 (I think it was my birthday, but the gift was for both of us. Had to sell the SNES too, otherwise my dad wouldn't allow us to get it.
2000: Got a Gameboy Color for birthday, sold the original Gameboy to a friend.
2002: I got a Dreamcast for my birthday.
2002: Dark times - thieves broke into my house, and among many things they stole, they got the N64 and the dreamcast. My grandma almost died too.
2002: Bought another Dreamcast with the insurance money.
2003: Since I started working, I bought an used Playstation 1 from a friend.
2004: Bought a Sega Master System (childhood dream: fulfilled lol)
2005: Went to Alaska for a Work&Travel program, bought a refurbished Xbox.
2006 Bought a Nintendo DS Lite
2008: I bought a Nintendo Wii.
2008: Sold the Gameboy Color
2008: Sold the Nintendo DS Lite
2009: Bought a Xbox 360.
2009: Sold the Sega Master System

Console I've owned for longer: GameBoy (original)
Console I've played the most: SNES or Nintendo 64 (both had excellent runs)
Console I've played the least: Nintendo DS Lite
Console I've best memories off (not necessarily better games or anything like that): Nintendo 64

That's it. I will update my story as I remember new things. Hopefully people will enjoy this and post their stories too!

1987: Born with a NES waiting for me, first game was of course SMB.
1993: Dad bought SNES.
1994: Got Game Boy with Tetris--still can't shake the Tetris addiction to this very day.
1997: Received N64 for Christmas, played the shit outta Mario Kart 64.
1999:Got PS1 for birthday.
1999: Game Boy screen broke, replaced with GB Pocket and GB Color during Christmas time.
2001: GBA at launch
2001: Bought GC exactly a week after launch; first console I ever bought with my own money ($200 is a lot when you're 14).
2002: Mom bought dad a PS2, somehow it eventually ended up in my possession after a few months lol.
2003: Bought an Xbox for my 7 year-old bro, he didn't really play that so that eventually ended up being mine as well.
2004: Bought Nintendo DS.
2005: PSP for birthday.
2008: Bought myself a Wii.
2008: Bought myself Xbox 360 for Christmas.
20??: Buying a PS3 when price is

PC-Bought a Dell to replace PC from 2001.(November 2007)
Xbox 360 Elite: Bought from Dell using coupon and giftcard from PC purchase, gave other 360 to my Brother.(Summer 2008)

I had to buy multiple genesis' because the prongs for the controller ports kept breaking and got another dreamcast(from my brother) a few years ago since my brother gave away my original. All that complaining about not being able to finish Skies of Arcadia must have got to him. unfortunately he also gave away the vmu's with the gamesaves on them so If I wanted to play SoA I'd have to start all over. At that point Skies of Arcadia Legends was already out for the gamecube so I got that instead of starting over on the dreamcast.

I had to buy two ps-x and ps2's because the original's both stopped reading disc's, I had a scare with my PSP where it too wouldn't read discs after an extended period of disgaea play(disgaea also contributed heavily to my original ps2's death), but fortunately it started working again a few months later.

No problems with my Microsoft or Nintendo consoles.

Console I've best memories of: Nintendo 64/Dreamcast/Game Boy's- That was one sweet era. Aki Wrestling/Perfect Dark/Mario Kart/Soul Calibur/Marvel Vs Capcom/Power Stone/2k Sports/PSO/Sonic Adventure sessions at home, and Pokemon sessions at school.
