Potential benefit for EE being taken out?

Given how relatively simple it is to fudge a Japanese profile, what are the chances you can download the eventual backwards compatibility software from Japan and give yourself essentially a region free PS2/PS1?

Jack Tretton mentioned that in one of the last intervews I watched him in. He was talking about the PS1 games and how cool it would be to offer titles to regions that never even heard of them before.

He also mentioned PS2 games could appear on the PSN down the road some time!

Dang it, there are already PSN games I'd buy, but they need to let you DEAUTHORIZE HARDWARE so that other hardware can get authorized! I know they let you use it on 5 systems, but there's still SOME chance you could use all those up.

I'd rather it just be one system at a time, but you can go into a menu to deauthorize it, then authorize it on another system (internet connection only required during that step).
