Needed, prayers to lift up the Director of Ministries He received bad news tonight and needs help. (He is to be a partner in revival here so I have seen, so If you can/care lift him up, if you don't care well there is always the OTT :)
 
How odd to run into this thread while listening to the song "dear god" by xtc. Though, not trying to be rude, but what is the concern here? I assume by "lift up" you mean to help him by praying. I'm not exactly someone who would be considered supporter of bible camps and revivals, but am curious as to what the connection between the "bad news" and the revival or bible camp is.
 
about revival---I believe that the christian church has been declining for a number of years because they have forgotten their purpose, it is not to rally in politics, it is not to get political clout, it is not to put out some pietism that "smoking or drinking or cards or dancing or whatever is evil" but rather that it simply needs to make disciples. I believe that there is a revival happening that spurs people to be disciples and not, well a number of things. I believe the bad news is something that temps him to quit while we are on the cusp of a new beginning.
 
I normally don't pray, save for my regular, "Please help me be a better person." But I'll make sure to say a little prayer tonight.
 
Adversity tends to pull people away from God's purpose, or causes them to run even harder towards it. I'll also pray for him, and hope to hear good news/updates
