Pre-Order RedOctane's Wireless PS2 Guitar Controller, Get Dual Guitar Gig Bag Free

CAGiversary!
RedOctane.com is FINALLY taking pre-orders for their wireless PS2 Guitar Hero controller. It's been listed on their site for a while now, but today's the first day that I've noticed where you could actually pre-order it ($59.99). Better yet, if you pre-order the wireless guitar, you get a free dual guitar gig bag (holds two guitars). The gig bag is usually $25. Shipping is a flat-rate $3.99, or free on orders over $100. No tax either, at least for me.

I actually already have the dual guitar gig bag. I pre-ordered it a week or two ago, and it finally arrived this week. It's pretty sweet. I use it to hold my original black SG controller and my cherry red SG. I'm going to pre-order the wireless controller and use the second gig bag to hold the new red controller I'm getting with the GH2 bundle (hasn't arrived yet from slowass CDUniverse) and the new wireless guitar once it arrives.

RedOctane doesn't list a ship date for the controller, aside from saying it's coming in November. But Gamestop lists the release date as 11/14, which is probably as good a guess as any.

Nice. I was going to get GHII, but now I'm holding out for the 360 version. Too bad they can't make a wireless GH controller for 360... :p

Me too. I don't want to get $60 accessories for a system that is on it's last legs. Waiting for 360 is hard though, the game looks uber fun.

Are they coming out with a PS3 version of Guitar Hero II or are they not bothering since the PS2 version will work on the PS3 (I assume).

Just a quick bump to let people know that my order shipped today. However, RedOctane's site still lists it as a pre-order item (with the free dual gig bag) with a shipping date of 11/17. So the deal's still good, at least for another day or so.
From what I've heard, Guitar Freaks guitars are compatible with Guitar Hero, although they have less buttons, I believe, so you can only play in 3-button mode.
only the original one, there are other things in place now for guitar hero 2 that would prevent them from working.

Are Guitar Hero guitars compatible with Guitar Freaks games?

The game works, the controller doesn't, at least according to IGN.

I believe the standard controller that will come with GH2 for 360 will be wireless.

Microsoft doesn't allow anyone to make third party wireless controllers, so, no, it won't.

Really? So all the third party controllers you see for the system are wired?

At least the X360 controller looks pretty damn cool, and it'll have downloadable songs like the Xbox versions of Karaoke Revolution and DDR.
