Pre-order Splatterhouse for X360/PS3 @ Gamestop, get a Terror Mask statue

tempting, but I wish it is full size and not just 6 inches...

haben't been reading up on the game lately, can anyone shed light on whether the dev changes and all the issue it had through development a good or bad thing for the game.

Pretty cool pre-order bonus, and I was a big fan of the older Splatterhouse games on the Sega Genesis. So I might go ahead and pre-order since I wanted to get the game anyway, thanks for the heads-up OP.

try this then:

http://splatterhouse.kontek.net/

perhaps the best source of info for all things splatterhouse. They have every public video plus interview about the game.

Hell, the fact that the original trilogy is included is good enough for me.

Then you'll be happy to know all 3 16-bit TG-16 & Genesis Splatterhouse games are unlockable

I'd go for the mask but 6 inches, what is this mask for exactly? It certainly would scare the kids that's for sure...

On a side note Assassins Creed 3 (for PS3 only) gets a beta invite code with a pre-order. It's Gamestop exclusive.

Holy crap, really? Earlier when I saw this thread that very thought was in my mind. Wishing they would either have those in the game somehow, or throw them up as XBLA and PSN titles.

Thanks for the info, this is definitely a must buy for me then. :D

That's what she said.

Actually it's the superior arcade version of the original and the 2 genesis games that are supposed to be included .

I guess if you need to turn a terrier or some other small mammal into a vengeful monster then that six inch mask would come in handy.

Love the older games but I am probably not going to bite until I see how good this new version really is.

Yea wow is it too hard to actually have MASK as the bonus. Like one you could wear?

I am looking forward to this game though, but this bonus isn't enough for me to buy it day 1.

I have a gut feeling this isn't going to turn out to be a good game. I'll wait for it to be 20. I'm sure it'll drop fast. I just don't see this game selling well.
I don't think it's gonna be a good game either... It's probably gonna be $15.
I bet you this game will only be good for 15 bucks mainly for those Splatterhouse game collection than the game itself.

I wondered if this was going to get any sort of bonus. I've had this pre-ordered for the 360 back when the original Street Fighter IV came out. So hopefully I'll get one haha.
That's what she said.
nonono! You don't want her to say that!

Back on topic. Neat little preorder bonus. I'm a sucker for physical stuff.

Hopefully the game turns out alright.

The inclusion of the 3 previous games is just icing on the cake (or turd, depending on how the game turns out).
Am I dreaming, an actual item for preorder instead of a crappy in-game map or weapon from Gamestop?
As much as I dislike GS, their exclusive physical preorder bonuses, namely the Messenger Bag for Mirror's Edge, and the Dante action figure for Dante's Inferno are/were better than other retailer's (physical) preorder bonuses.

I never got to play the originals! It would be awesome to get a chance to try them out now!

Are the original games on the disk, or will they be a downloadable bonus from psn/live? I'm just concerned they will be tied to new copies only.

I have a feeling this game will be abysmal at worst, mediocre at best, and most are going to pick it up after a significant price drop, or used (for me via gamefly), and even then I will probably just pick it up for the 3 "classic" games.

i played it at comic con. it wasn't bad...but it wasn't anything worth writing home about either (didn't play the older gen games -.-). It was interesting though!

SplatterHouse 1,2,3 on disc, AND a mini mask replica? SOLD!

Those 4 alone are worth the $50 for me (15% code works on this!). :)
Want the statue.. but, not sure about this reboot. :whistle2:k
Yeah same here. It looks like a bunch of highschool kids developed, I imagined the meetings went something like "Yeah dudes were gonna like totally have alot of blood and gore in the game! fuck yeah thats awesome! Oh and you can like tear people apart and more blood comes out! We are so fucking cool arent we? Pass me another mountain dew man".

Besides, namco/bandai hasnt really released anything worth a shit in the past decade.

Lucha Libre AAA Heroes Of The Ring is coming with a Lucha Libre mask as a pre-order bonus

If you pre-order online you can only get the "Dr. Wagner" mask, but if you pre-order in-store you will get one of the four masks they're handing out.

Its nice to see a non DLC based bonus for a change. I'm not interested in paying $60 for it though so I'll wait for the $20 price point cause I'm mostly interested in the original games. Maybe the new version will surprise us.

Well, that's kind of how the original games were.

According to the stage demo at E3 on gamespot, they're unlocked through achieving certain things within the game itself, and played in game.

Like said before well worth it for the original games + extras. Would be like $20+ on the VC for the OG games, then add 5-10 for the mask AND a new Splatterhouse (can't stop comparing the new Rick to John Cena fuck).

Hahaha The new Rick is John Cena! hahahaha!

The older games would make this a 29.99 purchase for me but to pay full price I gotta see a review from a trusted source or play it myself.

Pretty much I would rather have extra in game stuff than a six inch mask that you can't wear. (Like the new Vegas preorder bonuses.)

I'm guessing Dr. Wagner is the first one they show when you click the image?

Sweet.

If I've already pre-ordered the game, do I get the mask? Or do I have to cancel my pre-order and order it again? I pre-ordered in-store if that makes a difference.Sweet.

gut feelings are usually wrong...watch the e3 gameplay walkthrough, this game is looking better than any previous attempt at a horror beat em up on a next gen system....brutal, of course if you don't like a lot of blood, than maybe greg hastings paintball 2 will be a better choice for you for halloween gaming.
