I've heard/read from a few places that I can preorder a Wii at Gamestop by putting $50 down. Any truth to this? And if it is, does this mean that I am basically paying $50 of the $250 price, so I only have to pay the remaining $200 at pick-up?
 
Never heard of that. Might be a couple local employees trying to skim a little off the top, because after launch no GS that I've heard of has done preorders or reserves of any kind.
 
Yeah, totally false.

I work at a Gamestop, we arent allowed to do reserves on Systems except for on new releases. If somebody is doing this, they're probably going to get fired.
