Preorders for PS3?

If its $50 for a pre-order.....i may take the risk....but at $149 down at a store that i don't know.....a little bit nervous.

You just signed up this month and this is your first post. $150 for a preorder sounds like a scam to me. That site doesn't even look legit.

The website you 'recommended' has no history amongst consumer review sites. Furthermore, a quick glance of the website is quite telling about the company (fly by night web design, no phone contact or address, etc.). But that isn't the issue I made this post.

Rather, I wanted to point out that you just created this account today with the express purpose of selling your website. Now, even if wasn't less than obvious considering your post history (or lack thereof), date of registration, and obviously shoddy website no one has heard of, can you tell me why on Earth you would choose the SAME name for all of the sites you attempted your shill?

Anyways, can we get a quick URL edit on his post and an IP ban? Thanks

Hello Paramount.

Your reply was quite amusing. The only reason i mentioned that site was to share info with other gamers: i.e. considering this forum is a Pre-order post informing users of places to pre-order, i have placed many orders with them in the past and have always received my products.

With the XB360 gamers were being conned on ebay for silly amounts, so to stop this happening again, i thought i'd share a site with gamers. No doubt other people know of other sites taking orders.

You're quick to judge Easy Game Store, but have you actually ordered with them? Have you read the customer reviews on their site? You say they are fly-by, but i know the physical location of their store, near my house in Coventry.

I'm glad you are so concerned about your fellow gamers that you decided to register for the first time to 'recommend' a website. Of course, not only that but you recommended to multiple forums: CAG, LikSang, etc. Now I'm sure you will respond that you were lurker and decided to register all of a sudden to help us with finding preorders. Unfortunately this site requires registration to even view forums I believe so I'm not quite sure that argument works.

Of course, you don't have independent reviews such as Resller Ratings, but you advise me to take what people say on the website as evidence for their excellence in service. Do you really think people are that naive? I guess you do seeing as you're trying to spin this issue.

But I'm glad you know of their physical location! I'd love to make a pre-order with them but before I do so I have a few questions. Could you provide with the phone number, I don't mind that it is overseas.

I can't believe you think you can spread this utter mendacity without being criticised. But then again, this is the internet.

The domain's registered through godaddy.com. It's registered from the UK. You'd think if the store was legit, it'd be registered somewhere else.

One thing that stands out to me (besides the obvious fake prices), is the fact that while the site's claiming it's registered in the UK, it doesn't have a co.uk address like game.co.uk or play.co.uk.

Maybe they really mean the seperate hard drives for those prices.
 
It sounds like you're either unemployed or you work in burger king and have too much free time on your hands. Do you do this all day going round critising companies? Do you get paid by EB/GS, LIKSANG or Amazon to spin their sites?

Obviously. As for me having the same user id, is it a crime to post on different forums? Easy Game Store has nothing to do with me, whether you order from them or Ebay i couldnt give a monkeys!

Next time i wont bother recommending any site, go to Ebay spend $1000 on a PS3, and get a brick in a box instead .
 
The bottom line is that there are a dozen reasons not to go through this website and its hilarious that our new member tried to spin this.

You shouldn't treat your prospective customers this way. Also, I can guarantee that if you have to peddle your wares in some overseas shill you're definately in the gutter. Moreover, it is clear that our point is proven and that the only way you can handle it is to spin out of control with poor insults.

this is enough to drive me crazy, i am trying to preorder AND CAMP so i can have my cake and eat it too for free. (ebay) hehee
 
i know this isnt to much help to you guys unless you live in Ohio but Trading zone lets me preorder anything i want since i know the owner because i have been going there since i was like 5 years old,but i couldve preordered a ps3 last year and i wouldve gotten it when it comes out so i am gonna go preorder my ps3 tomarrow for free.
 
Has anyone been able to confirm easygamestore is legit? Hickster seems to work for that place. They are supposedly #1 for PS3 and XBox 360, but they only carry a couple of xbox games and don't even sell the console.

This place seems too good to be true, but seriously why won't they give you a phone number.

BTW - Supposedly they have a US store in Florida.

some of my local eb games and gamestops are saying that they will not be taking pre-orders at all. the others are saying that they will be taking them in october. has anyone else heard of these stores not taking pre-orders for the ps3 at all? those stores are saying first come, first serve. thanks!

I talked to my local X Games store and they told me only a million of them would be distributed to the entire world (of course another mill would be released in Japan). He also told me that there will be campers for the pre-order line (not sure what that means). This will be available in early October.

The EB I called also said they're not getting any pre-orders whatsover and you will have to get it at launch.
