Cheap ass link

The system sale isn't mentioned in the link but it was mentioned in the newsletter. Not a bad deal if you don't have one yet... just test it before you leave the store...

Fine print: when you trade in your working Playstation system with 3 PS games or your working Nintendo 64 system with 5 N64 games.

Horrible deal...I'm wondering why EB even wants that stuff anymore.

saw that on eb's site too, but I thought $100 is what preplayed xbox and ps2 systems have always been going for?

N64s are hot with kids and gamers "not in the know".. i always have a hard time finding good N64 games at my local EB and Gamestop...... but if you have a PS1 and want to upgrade to PS2.. then maybe.. but then again.. why don't you just hold out for the price drop in may?

:headache:

That sucks. I might've actually considered getting a PS2 for $100!

I think a preowned XBOX or PS2 is $129.99. So basically you are trading in a PS1 and 3 games for 30 bucks. Man, there should be some kind of legal repercussions for marketing this as a "hot deal."

It's sickening to see how video games depreciate in the eyes of game stores.

Spend $50 on a game today, trade it in tomorrow and get $12.

Then EB turns around and sells it for $44.99

That's why I don't feel bad when the $5 game sales come along.
