They work more like a debit card than anything else, and I have no idea what freeipods.com requires or even is so I can't help ya there...sorry.

Beware of the simon cards because they take interest of after 7months I believe. I had one for 20 and forgot about it. Used it two years later only had $7 left. There was a class action lawsuit about it but i dont know what happened with it.

Here's a VISA Gift Card FAQ. I believe you can purchase them at drugstores (walgreeens, rite-aid).

 How does my GiftCards.com Visa Gift Card work?
The GiftCards.com Visa Gift Card is a prepaid debit card that lets you or your recipient shop at millions of locations - anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted. It looks like any Visa card but because it is a prepaid card, your spending is limited to the amount of money placed on the card by the purchaser.

Each time you use your card, the purchase amount is automatically deducted from your card balance. Before you go shopping, you'll need to know how much money you have available. The merchant cannot tell you how much money you have remaining on the card.

Jeeze...Food Lion...if that doesn't take me back to my east coast days...:)

They don't have a name on them and whenever you do any form of a transaction online, you need a name.

Radioshack carries a prepaid debt card/ credit card. go there and ask the person working there about them they should be able to answer all you questions. and they will bug you about a cellphone but just ignore it. (I work there)

Also, if you are under 18 and can't get a credit card look into visabuxx, its a prepaid card with your name on it that is used like a Visa. I had one untill I turned 18.
Why not just get a real credit card?
Cuz i'm 16 and I dont think my mom would appreciate me charging 150 bucks on her card for a gt4 wheel.
