After reading that Kameo & PDZ are $19.99 each at Sears and theres deal at FYE for trading in 2 xbox 360 games to get one, I decided to go the the mall where both stores are near each other. So I first get 2 copies of Kameo (1 for trade, 1 for myself) and 1 PDZ. Then after purchase I peeled off the Sears stickers for the trade ins.
I then entered FYE (where the damn alarm went off!) and went to the cashier and mentioned the deal. I was honest and said if I needed to unwrap the games for her to trade them in I would do so. But instead she said she would ring them up as RETURNS so I would get the credit (~$60.00) to use on anything I wanted (she was thinking I would get more $ than trading it in used). I stressed that I wanted to make sure they had Prey in-stock. She grabbed the COLLECTOR'S EDITION, and I was a little stunned. She insisted that I would probably get $$ back, but I knew what the price for the CE was going to ring up for. There was no price on it so she called the Manager had to check. The Manager (who I don't even think realized was going on) was eyeing my return receipt and I thought it was going to be denied. After a few minutes though I wound up paying ~$10.00 cash to get the game. So total spent ~$50.00 cash ($40 + tax for Kameo & PDZ, and $10.00 + tax for the difference).
I do wonder though if it would've been cheaper to get the Collector's Edition for cheaper if she would've done it as a straight trade-in. I did notice though the sign that said "SOME RESTRICIONS APPLY", so maybe not. But if you want the Prey CE bad enough and don't mind doing some leg work give it a shot.
EDIT: Apparently this deal (according to a post) can be had for $40.00 or 2 trade-ins. So looks like I got hosed $10.00. Now I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get that money back, aarrgghh.
