[Price Error] TRAUMA CENTER: UNDER THE KNIFE DS for $19.99 at EBGames.com

my only history with EB pre-orders was with the DK 2 error and they didn't cancel it, they just raised the price. I pre-ordered this online earlier but I may just go in-store and do it there instead.

I normally don't copy our deals over there, but I figured with Cheapy already notifying EB of the error, it would be dead soon anyway.

Game deals don't really get hit hard over there anyway.

so will EB send an email saying my pre-order has been cancelled or just charge me the extra $10?
 
I think they will just wait till they ship and charge you the extra $10. I paid with a gift card so I don't know what will happen. If they try and charge me for it the money won't be on the card, if they try to cancel how will I get the money if I don't have the GC?
 
I dont think they can charged you more than you agree to. If they decide to do anything it is most likely cancel your order.

I dont think posting on FW matters since this is a very niche title.

Also preorder in store wont do you any good since you have to pay the difference when you pick up the game.
 
Dangit, didn't get in on it. This is what happens when I'm at home on a 33.6K modem and don't feel like going on CAG as often. Oh well...

With the DK with Bongos thing, though, they kept the low price but did a sneaky thing and switched orders over to DK without Bongos, IIRC? Wasn't exactly honoring a price...they switched items and you had to contact them and prove the error to get the proper (more expensive list price) product.

I know they honored the Def Jam: FFNY error, so there is a precedent:

I would expect them to honor this deal, too.

However, this is a new EBgames, one who bails out of rebates/vouchers, so they could cancel.

Also, consumers have nothing to lose on this if they get up-charged, as they can always dispute the charges.

The website now shows the game is priced at $29.99 again. Thankfully I'm not too big on surgery so I didn't miss out, lol.
 
Well the price is changed so I guess they figured out that something must be wrong that millions of people are buying the game mysteriously :)

Anyways good find. Though I'm totally broke and not looking into this game anyways.
 
I got the email too. I just checked my order and it's still out there at the 19.99 price.

I'm hoping that they honor it, but if not... I'll pick it up at Best Buy or Circuit City for $25 after GGC.
 
Hope the price drops back to $19. Plus I hope this doesn't get rare just like every other Atlus game. It's not an RPG, so maybe...............

I am still down for $19.99 and the game comes out next week-- How does this usually work with EB-- do they fix their price errors at the last second or do they usually cover that beforehand?

We'd better get hooked up! If not, then we shall......well......bitch about it in this thread.

That's what I'm banking on. I figure if they were going to bump it up, they would have done so by now. I highly doubt they'll change it at the last second, as that would be a huge inconvience to their customers and would totally defeat the purpose of pre-ordering.

games like rivera and disgaea i like a lot.... really hasnt been much since then.. though i did like Lunar dragon song in a way. There is nothing i really like that much... and my stupid circle isnt working half the freaking time, it keeps telling me to draw a circle and i am and its not working...
