If you can live with a black and white printer, then I suggest a laser printer.
Normal printers have a cost of about $.10 per page where as a laser printer costs about $.04 per page- even if a laser printer's ink cart costs $60-$80.
I have a Lexmark all in one printer and I hate it. It seems like the ink cartridge dies too frequently ($20 for black, $30 for color every 4-6 months).
I have this one, it works pretty good (though it can't print PayPal labels very well). It's $60 after rebates ($120 less a $40 instant coupon, less $20 Staples easy rebate). I think Office Depot has it too for $80 or so.
and there are even ones for just black carts at around $2 each total after shipping.... Plus brother printers all come with 4 ink carts (3 color, 1 black) which are full and not "starter" carts with less ink.
