Prison Break Season 4 thread - Season Premiere Sept. 1 - Season 3 DVD out 8/12!

Time to bump this up with some great news. First, the third season will start in just over a month from now, on Monday, September 17. Second, we have some news on new characters:

New characters on Fox's Prison Break--which will find Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and the gang locked up in a Panama prison next season--include a mysterious fisherman who apparently is wrongfully imprisoned there, a beautiful local woman who is the fisherman's girlfriend, a Panamanian drug kingpin, and a female freelance operative with a government organization.

Two new cast members of the Fox drama were announced today and will join the show as regulars for its third season. Robert Wisdom and Jodi Lyn O'Keefe join Wentworth Miller (Michael) and Dominic Purcell (Lincoln), says The Hollywood Reporter, but will both play very different roles.

Wisdom will star as the jailed Panamanian drug lord Luchero, who happens to run the inmates in the Central American joint where much of the upcoming season takes place. The actor's previous credits include Howard "Bunny" Colvin on The Wire, Barbershop 2: Back in Business, and Ray.

I can't wait for the new season to start.

I'm just as excited Frisky.

BTW, those character/cast member info's may be spoilers to some people.
Who knows.

We have Prison Break on the 17th, Heroes on the 24th and Halo 3 on the 25th.

I never gave the show a chance during the first 2 seasons but a few months ago I watched both seasons in a two week span. I think I watched 3 episodes a day. I honestly don't know how you guys were able to wait a whole week before you got to see what was next. It must have been torture but it looks like I'll be experiencing that as well for Season 3. ;)

looking forward to see where they go with the show this season..there are some rumors of some regular cast members not coming back

My mom is going to be excited when she hears this. She doesn't really understand the whole concept of t.v show seasons and stuff because she barely speaks english. So she always wonders why they stopped showing it suddenly after such a suspenseful finale... oh, mommy.

If you want some Season 2 action, check out Fox tonight and every monday night until the new season starts. The episode with the
lockbox
is on tonight.

The Season 2 DVD comes out tomorrow! The best deal I've seen on it is the $5 gift card with the DVD set at CC for $37. Not bad, but the GC takes some of the sting out of it. I wish it was $32 like the first one though.

I'm definitely picking up the dvd tomorrow along with the office season three. The season premiere snuck on me this time. I completely forgot about it until I saw this thread.

Here is some new scoop on the show...MAJOR SPOILER ABOUT A CHARACTER

micheals girlfriend, the prison doctor, is not returning. For weeks her manager was saying she was coming back, but due to a recent pregnancy, she would be back later on...well now it is official she is out

per http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-Editors-Blog/Ausiello-Report/Truth-Prison-Break/800021797

OK, now you worrywarts have something to wring your hands about: The Ausiello Report has just learned that after giving birth, Sarah Wayne Callies is not returning to Prison Break after all.

Shocking, right? Especially given the way the actress' manager has been insisting for weeks that her client would be back. (The words "pants on fire" come to mind.)

We already knew that Callies was MIA from the opening credits in the first two episodes and that, for the one scene in which Dr. Sara appeared, a body double was used. But nonetheless, trusting souls that we are, we believed the mom-to-be still had a job. Well, no more. There's a story here, and you're gonna get it.

Time for a bump, as we've got less than one day left. I need to finish up my rewatching of Season 2, as I'm just over halfway through (
T-Bag's trying to find out where his former GF's at, Sucre just jumped out of the plane, and Michael and Lincoln just got arrested after Mahone T-boned their car.
)

should be nice.

Watched Season 2 for the first time by buying the DVDs from B&N. Finished it up and sold it already - all set to watch S3 =]

I am so pumped for Prison Break tonight. I've been waiting forever for it to come back on. Hopefully they don't do the storyline where his brother gets sent to prison, and he has to break out Michael. That would be kind of funny and sad at the same time. Anyway I can't be more excited.

Maybe they will kill Michael off. That way he can shoot Joan of Arcadia Season 3 - that would rock.

I thought the episode was great. Can't wait for next week. It seemed like I just started watching and then it was over.

I didn't think they could pull off a third season, but if this first episode is any indicator, it should be interesting.

Yeah I was kind of skeptical too but the first episode was really good. I wonder where they are going with it. Maybe T-bag becomes head of the new prison? Who knows?
I missed the first 10 minutes. Does anybody know where I can find a stream or anything?
I thought the episode was just "okay." It didn't suck me in like the episodes from previous seasons. Hopefully it will get better but I'm kinda bummed about the rumors that Sarah Wayne Callies (Sara Tancredi) isn't coming back for this season.

Thanks. That was exactly what I needed.

I missed a few episodes (4-5) from the end of S2 but saw the last episode...man I can't believe I put it in the backburner for so long this show is still fucking hot.

Great episode tonight, I'm still hooked!

I thought the episode sucked ass. So he is back in prison and need to help someone else escape. It is too much been there done that, they should have kept them out on the run. I hope his girlfriend at least came back to film her leaving the show, because if they air a buch of episodes where he is solely motivated to rescue her, and then we don't hear shit about her, I won't be happy.

I liked the episode but c'mon, a prison where there are no guards inside? I would think the Panamanian army would just storm in and kill everyone before they would let that happen lol. Or use the place for artillery practice until order was restored at least.

Also bummed they didn't show Sara's face, so I figured something was up. Hope she comes back this season!

maybe it will just drag on during the season with Sarah missing and hope that she comes back next season...or just kill her off and be done with it...like how they did the girl in the beginning of last season

Because it's not easier to just station guards outside to kill runners than put guards inside to just get killed?

sarah recently had a baby, and it was led to believe she was coming back. About 2 wks ago she said she was not returning. Not sure on the reason, if it is to spend time with her child, a set problem, or the fact they are filming in a very humid enviroment, and that is supposedly sucks to be there is the reason she isn't coming back. It was reported in this weeks ask ausiello on tvguide.com, that it was her decision not the shows for her not to return. She had a baby in July.

I hate when shows have to do that whole "character is here but not really here thing" lol.

What happened to the FBI agent/marine? Are they bringing him back?

are you talking about kellerman?

Pb_kellerman.jpg

it is believe he is dead on the show, happened last season after he testified...he was shot offscreen, so there is still the possibility he could return

According to issue #4 of the Official Prison Break Magazine, writer and co-producer Karyn Usher discussed Paul Kellerman. When asked about his fate, she replied "...this is Prison Break, and I wouldn't be surprised if Kellerman appeared again."
Kellerman was also not shown in the Season 2 Easter Egg that listed the dead characters of the show.
It was decent, but so far this season is worse than 2, and therefore significantly worse than 1.
I could really see Prison Break going the way of 24 where each season is worse than the previous season. Oh well, if it does go that way at least we'll still have another 2 seasons before it gets truly horrible.

2 was better than 1. It's too early to tell how good season 3 is.

Sorry, but S1 was exponentially better than 2 (1 was the best season of any show I've seen in my life, 2 was one of the better ones).

Also, I suppose it is a bit early, but if things don't start getting good by ~8, then I'm calling it.

However, having
Sucre become the gravedigger
was a pretty good move.

I hope they don't take the easy way out and pull a Monte Cristo by having Scofield carried out like he's dead or something...

Anyway, I'm liking this season better than season 2, but not as much as season 1. It's good, but... meh.... it's not mind blowing in the least.

S. 2's better than S. 1 because of the evolution of the characters from being hated to loved (Tweener, C-Note, T-Bag) or respectable (Kellerman and Mahone). The unpredictability's another big part, though that is just a continuation from the first season.

S. 3's getting into the groove with this episode as
Michael's forming his plan to escape and manipulating the prisoners around him (Bellick, Mahone).

Agreed. S1 was really good. The way they setup the escape was awesome.
