Prison Break Season 4 thread - Season Premiere Sept. 1 - Season 3 DVD out 8/12!

"We've got our remaining batch of four episodes and then there are a couple more we're contemplating," says network prez Kevin Reilly, adding that the four-year old Prison has simply run its course. "The show is played out."

.

Yeah I thought they meant adding additional episodes to the ones that were planned originally. It'll be interesting to see how they tie everything up in so few episodes.
I'll miss it a lot, but I think just about every fan can agree that it is time to end it. That's not because it has gotten horrible, because this season has been pretty damn good. It's just come to the point where it's time to wrap the story up.
Yes I agree. Its a show I like, but you gotta know when to quit. I don't think we need another back-to-prison/break-out/go-on-the-run story again.

Now, where can I pitch a spinoff sitcom where T-Bag moves into a snooty upscale neighborhood with hilarious results?

Seinfeld and T-Bag move in together?

Damn canceled? I didn't see that coming. Yeah the seasons have gone downhill but completely scrap the show? I thought it still did good ratings? This really sucks. I know eventually it needs to wrap up but I didn't think it would be this soon. I thought it had another season or two.
Wow that sucks, the show is still good. I mean I wasn't happy with this season at the start but the second half of it is really good. I hope they at least finish this season out.

Weird coincidence since I just got caught up (been busy), I watched six episodes in a row yesterday.
Crazy, I just did the same thing yesterday also, but I still have one more to go.
I just realized in the last couple days that this is moving to Fridays when it comes back.
It is? What time?
I just realized in the last couple days that this is moving to Fridays when it comes back.
The final resting place for all FOX shows.

Anyone catch it? Episode wasn't bad, ending was especially dramatic.

Hopefully the ending is conclusive in a worthwhile kind of way.

now its brother against brother and why the hell was the general trying to cut the seat belt. couldn't he just pull it loose and slip out?

Didn't even realize it was back on. I just happened to be playing PS3 and saw my TiVo was recording something, so I flipped over to the recording and lo and behold... Prison Break. Gotta say I've lost my interest in the show after such a long hiatus. Gonna have to rewatch old episodes to get interested again. Meh.

This season has felt too... "crammed". The first few episodes in particular felt like they were trying to squeeze in as much stuff as possible. The first season was believable. The second was a good followup. The third got a little weird. This season is just plain ridiculous. It's starting to feel like Lost, where the producers are just making shit up as they go along, trying to pretend they planned everything from the start.

makes me wonder if their dad knew that their mother was still alive or now? but then again...i wouldn't be surprised if their dad came back alive.

Anybody still watching? It seems like this and the 24 thread have been dead the past few weeks.

Anyways, the finale is next week. I think last night's episode did a great job of setting it up.

Damn, I gotta say it's been a while since I was truly satisfied with an ending of a series. I was kind of wary on the direction the series was going this last season, but it did come through in the end.

What? That was the stupidest thing ever!
Kellerman comes back, says he's the good guys, convinces them to hand over SCYLLA, and they all get exonerated? Just like that? Bah! On top of that, Michael ends up dying of brain cancer anyway?
So lame. Good riddance. They took what was once a great show and dug it a hole.

I agree about Kellerman & C-note coming out of nowhere being very forced (they could have at least done some kind of foreshadowing in the last few eps).

Personally I think Michael dying was the right thing to do. While i'm sure most people would've wanted the happy-go-lucky ending, Michael's death was just the perfect example of how he was always looking out for the well being of others and what a great person he was.

And yes, I know its a plothole since he was supposed to be "fixed". But trust me, it could have always been worse

I never thought Kellerman was really dead. Having someone shot offscreen is leaving the door wide open for a comeback.
What were the General's last words?

My guess is the General said something in latin.

I liked the ending.
Even though this should be the case with all endings, I like how they didn't leave much hanging (if anything - I can't remember) in the story.

As for Kellerman, I remember hearing long ago he wasn't dead (I think it was a season 2 special feature).
Kellerman reminds me alot of Al Gore for some reason.

As for Michael dying at the end, I felt it was appropriate and I agree with Berzerker that it does seem like a plothole, although it brings everyone together and gives the show a more mature, realistic note to leave off on.

Some questions I have:
What was on Sara's back before the tattoo scene with her son?
What was the point of Kellerman getting spat at? I'm hoping more than just comic relief.

Turns out the season is coming to dvd real soon, as in it's available on June 2nd.

Wow....what a crappy ending. Actually, what a crappy final season.

Prison Break has always had a lot of plot holes and "wtf moments" but this last season really just took it to another level.

The first season was great and the second season was okay but everything after that was basically crap.

Those are scars from when Gretchen totured her and the lady that spat at Kellerman was the wife of his old partner which he killed in a earlier season

i was satisfied with the ending...i enjoyed the show even though it did run its course in the first (maybe 2) seasons

I didn't like the ending. In fact, the only seasons I really enjoyed was where they were actually breaking out of prison. They should have changed the name from Prison Break to On The Run.

I doubt Michael died from a brain tumor. While it's possible, I think most people are forgetting about the direct to DVD movie coming out called Prison Break: The Final Break.

Synopsis: The federal government can’t touch Michael Scofield, so they’re going after the woman he loves. When Sara is arrested for murder, only Michael can rescue her — and their unborn child — from an impenetrable women's prison. With a price on Sara’s head and time running out, Michael must rely on his deadliest enemies to help attempt the most daring breakout ever.

The IMDB page for final break doesn't show wentworth miller as being in it. Or Sara. It looks like it has to do with Gretchen.

That's weird. The synopsis talks exclusively about Michael and Sara but I wouldn't put it past the site I linked to have a false synopsis. The credibility didn't look too high.

Yeah I'm really wondering about this. Because remember those planned spin offs Prison Break Cherry Hill or Gretchen Morgan Files. On the IMDB for final break it says "Also Known as Prison Break: Cherry Hill (USA) (working title)
Prison Break: The Gretchen Morgan Files (USA) (working title)"

It looks like mahone is definitely in it though. And the prison guard listed is played by a female so it must take place in a female prison. We'll find out soon enough though! lol

Kellerman wasn't shown on the extras of season 2 review of those who had died.

I just finished watching the finale. I've been watching all of Season 4 on hulu.com the past couple of days. I liked this season a lot. It was great. Much better than last season. I thought the ending was really good and a nice way to end the series.

Kind of weird how they didn't show how the world was changed because of Scylla. Also, how was WW3 averted after that guy shot? They never explained how the tensions died down.

What happened to Gretchen?

Yeah I remember her getting shot and then left to be arrested. Since they
were showing everyone at the end I thought they might have shown what Gretchen was up too

Gretchen is one of the first people Sara runs into when she gets thrown into prison in the Another Break movie.

Speaking of the Another Break movie, I was very relieved to find out that the "spoilers" about Michael joining the company to get his final surgery were fake. Unfortunately though...

Michael does indeed die
Breaking Sara out of prison, he uses himself as a conduit for an electrical surge to open the door that leads to Linc & Co, the surge causes the electrical box Michael is standing next explodes and thats the last we see of him

ive seen every episode, including the final break. i thought it was decently wrapped up. prison break is so ridiculous anyways, trying to make a logical conclusion is in itself, illogical.

Final Break sort of wrapped things up a little more nicely than the finale that aired in the U.S.

Explains where Sara got that scar, how micheal died, etc.
