You should be worried and you should post the users name. Edit your topic and put the users name in the title of the topic. Hopefully your topic will get stickied and a mod will notice.

Man, I really hope you get your code... This shit is getting out of hand and I really can't believe how often this is happening... Good luck, I really hope it works out
So he's gotten enough time? Whats the average time a code should be sent?
It all depends on communication and what was agreed upon. I think it's fair to assume that the code should be PM'd to you within 48 hours of payment, but that's just my opinion. He should have let you know when you'd get the code or at least kept you posted.

Should I post his name? Could that discourage him or help him finally give me my code?

Note: He have over 1k in posts, so I'm guessing he's somewhat known.

Yes, you should post his name. That way, if other people might have trades going will see that something is up. Sometimes things happen, but most of the time, people are trying to get the best of you. Good luck again, and don't worry, 99% of the time Shrike is awesome at helping people to get their money back in the end.

You should post the name.....odds are its just a misunderstanding if he has 1k post and good feedback but at least put it out there til its cleared up. Helps other CAGs to beware of the situation.

It's going to get to the point where any codes will be banned being sold on here since people can't seem to control themselves.

If you paid with Paypal, and hopefully not as a personal/gift payment (no protection there, since Paypal gets no fees on those), file a Paypal dispute. That'll get his attention quickly, and he'll need to show that he sent the code, and if he can't, you get your money back.

I've booted him from the Trading Forum in the meantime.

Being the paypal noob I am I did send it as a gift. My last 3 purchases on here where gifts to the other members and works flawlessly. I spent $33 for a 1 year of xbl btw.

Also there's a option to report a problem on paypal if it matters, how long should I wait to try and report anything?

Thanks for the help also, I really hope this get's resolved I've never screwed/been screwed by anyone over on here/ebay:(
I'm SO sorry. This is not how I usually deal, i've just been so busy now i'm heaving problems finding the right code.

So so sorry. Tomorrow for sure man. fuckkkkkkkk
He just sent that a little while back. Hopefully he does.

You can't report him, because you "gave" him the money. Hence the "gift" part. Why would you 'gift' a stranger money for a transaction?

Your money is gone. Consider this a learning experience.

Plus, how do you explain that you're putting a dispute for something you didn't get when it was a monetary gift you send to the other party? :whistle2:s

That's assuming he purchased it all, of course.

There's still hope.

In actuality, this is not necessarily true. You see this situation often with various intangible items. Mainly WoW accounts. Generally, you can not receive protection on gifts, but here you can.

From personal experience, if somebody sells you something from Paypal that is digital and can not be traced through federal mail, you can dispute the money you sent to him and they will place a hold on it until both of you respond. To the flaw of Paypal, even if he does give you the code, you could feasibly retract your gift saying you never got the item (because he won't be able to prove he sent it to you).

To sum it up, gift or not, call 1-402-935-2050 and explain the "gift" was to purchase an item from an individual not utilizing eBay and that the item was not delivered. They will put a claim on the money until you both respond with what happened. If he delivers the game you have the option to tell Paypal that so he can receive his money. That's your purgative.

Either way, hope this helps! Get your money back, or minimally put pressure on the kid.

I'm not normally a big user on paypal, but for future info this is VERY handy to have read...for a just in case.

Good luck on getting your code!

I find it hard to believe that KOA is scamming here, hopefully something came up and he couldn't deliver the code for a logical reason. Best of luck to the OP though.

It's almost been a week though, and I'm not saying it's time to rush things, but E-mailing a code to somebody would take about 2 minutes, whereas an actual package would take a little extra time. If monday rolls around and nothing, then it's definitely time to start getting serious about possible action.

Exactly. And giving someone the run around and claiming the code will be sent "tomorrow" or some other random lie is just plain bad manners. I'd leave negative feedback even if the code does get sent. Why leave positive feedback for someone who doesn't deserve it?

Do whatever you can to get your money back. Post his address and contact both paypal and his local police department for fraud. Even if it doesn't seem like you have a case, you can still put pressure on him. Maybe if you post his address someone can link a phone number to it and you and the police can give him a phone call or two.
I'll give him to 6pm est to respond then I'll post it.
Sorry you're getting the run around here man. I've never had a bad experience, but I've only traded with people who I've been very confident in. Don't be afraid to call his local police department though. This guy has jerked you around enough already. Even if he does end up giving you a valid code, you should definitely leave feedback that reflects what he's put you through so other people know how shady this guy is.

I am not sure if posting the info would be the BEST idea right now, but you need to take advantage of that post that Pokejohn posted. If it's a "Oops, I'm really sorry" case, and he gives you a code that does work, try to get 1/2 of your money refunded as well. I think there needs to be no leeway with this anymore; it's happening too much for somebody to get through unscathed.

I really don't like posting info, The thing that sucks is he's on about every other day for 2 minutes. It's going to officially be a week since I'd transferred money to him tomorrow morning..

In all honesty, it doesn't take long to E-mail somebody a code... The only excuse he could have is that he couldn't find it, but that's a BS excuse anyways... Just do what you can to make sure you come out ahead in the end...
fml..
That's shit dude. You seem like you're extremely nice and have a hard time doing the hard things, but even if you get a working code, you need to leave negative feedback at the least. I'd even ask to be reimbursed to a point, for him jerking you around so much. If he had a personal problem or anything, he could have explained it in a PM prior. This happens too much and you need to show that there's zero tolerance for screwing around on the trading forum.

Sorry man, but at least it's not having too much of an effect on you. Maybe I'm just optimistic, but I think your chances of getting a full refund or your code is still pretty decent. You just need to put pressure on him.

I think it's safe to say it might be alright with posting full contact details now. Maybe seeing if somebody could post the info on GTZ as well...

He hasn't been on since Sunday night..
Yeah, and the last time he was on, he said he would check in a minute. He's a fucking asshole.
Ok I've had enough of this crap how do I get my money back? (if I can..) this guy is truly a ass clown.
First, try calling Paypal and explaining the situation(wasn't supposed to be a gift and valid item was never received). If all else fails & you paid by a debit or credit card, file a chargeback.
