My problem: The problem is when I am installing games my computer likes to restart right when I click the 'Install' button. This has happened with Battlefield 2's 1.41 update patch and Quake 4. I was able to install the update patch for BF2 in safe mode but there is a problem with punkbuster which still doesn't work after I patched it.
There are a few games where I haven't had this problem with, those are Unreal Anthology and any game on steam.
I'm just curious if anyone has had this problem or knows how to fix it. I've done quite a bit of searches on google and haven't come across anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My current setup:
Windows Vista 64 Ultimate w/ SP1
Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H 780G
AMD X2 5000+ Black Edition
4GB DDR2-8500 OCZ Reaper
Maxtor SATA 1.5 Gbps
