Problems with my X button

The X button on my psp is sort of messed up. When I touch it it sometimes gets a little stuck or just activates twice. Having a bit of a problem playing FFT because when I take an action in the menu it sometimes advances too far because of the double tapping action of my X button. Is there any way I can fix this? maybe an option to reassign buttons?

Take it back to the store and exchange it. Sounds defective.

Sounds like it has gunk in it- and just needs cleaning. The best way would be to open it up and clean it proper, but I don't know how difficult it is to do on a PSP.

The other option is to just get some isporopyl alcohol and wipe the buttons off real good with it. Hopefully some isopropanol will seep down and clear it up just enough to get rid of the sticking.

Yeah, there's probably some dust or something down there. I wish I could point you towards a tutorial.
