I went to the flea market this weekend and found many N64 titles that I was looking for priced at $5 each. The one that I was most excited about was Paper Mario. Long story short, they all work except Paper Mario.

SO, I tried cleaning it and my system and it still doesnt work. I get frustrated and I push the game back (towards the back of the system) while it is in the 64 and turn it on. VOILA it works. However as soon as I let go of the cart it gets an error message.

Well, my question is: What should I do? It doesnt seem as though the connectors are bent and i havent had this problem with any other game on my system.

Has anyone had this problem before? Should I try to bend the connectors? I dont know. I just really wanted to play Paper Mario without shelling out $10 on the virtual console. :bomb:

One trick you can use is to fold up some paper and jam it in front of the cart, thus pushing it back a bit. It doesn't fix the underlying problem, but it might do the trick anyway.

Did you open the cart to clean it?
If not buy the bit to open it and give it a thorough cleaning.

I've had games do that before I gave them a solid cleaning
