Lots of misinformation in here too -- this has nothing to do with BC, and if you think the PS4 could have given us PS3 BC 'instead' that's crazy. Not to mention, god forbid someone try to make money off their back catalog. You bought your ps3 games for your ps3, you're not entitled to play them on every console Sony ever makes from here on in.
For some reason, people just can't wrap their heads around the fact that the PS3 was an insane Frankenstein's Monster of a console. The Cell processor was, though very powerful in the right hands (hence PS3 exclusives always outshining 360 exclusives graphically), notoriously difficult to develop for. That's why, for the majority of its lifespan, PS3 versions of multiplatform games were always inferior to varying degrees.

A parallel can be drawn to the current gen, though in the opposite direction, which is kinda funny. But mostly sad.

But yes, as I stated earlier, do not get your hopes up for any sort of true PS3 emulation within the next decade, at the very least. Honestly, I don't think that it will happen within our lifetimes, if ever.

No, no one here has a right to complain about it. If you're on this site, you buy games regularly or already have a backlog, so the service is not for you. That would be like if the technology existed where you can teleport anywhere in the world for $1 million, and you were like, "That's too much, I can buy a plane ticket for much less."
Freedom of speech bruh...sorry just poor choice in phrasing with "right to complain". If people don't agree that it's a sale then of course they are going to post their opinion about it.

The service is not bad for what it is but doesn't cater to majority of the CAG people....the deal is posted in a CAG forum. Trying to tell them to not complain about a deal is as futile as telling youtube people to stop leaving mean comments.
