Ps2 Compatibility: Fixed or not?

I just picked up Tekken 5, as CC is having a $9.99 Memorial Dy sale. I noticed in a thread that someone stated there was compatibility problems with this games (and 196) other on the Ps3.

Doing a web search, I see this a topic last November, but I see no recent discussions of this. Did the updates fix some of these issues? Is their a site that states current issues with ps2 games?

Most games work fine, a few (like Jak X) look like they still have problems.

You might want to think about returning Tekken and purchasing the HD version from the online store if you're worried about compatibility, although I'm not sure if the downloadable game has all of the modes or not (and it's $20 of course).

Isn't the one from the online store better since its the Dark Resurrection version with new characters?

how about modes? Does it still have all the modes from the PSP version?

I was thinking of picking up a PS3 in the next six months and my very first pic would be . . . Virtua Fighter 5, but I have alot of non-gaming friends who are in love with Tekken, so I might partake in a five-way split for this, making it less than $5.

nope, it's bare bones. Just arcade mode, vs, and ghost mode. not even training.
