Does anyone know what this is? I found it recently with a PS2 launch system and nothing I throw it in will recognize it. I don't have a PS2 to test it, but it can't be read in the XB360 or XBox (which shouldn't be a problem if its a DVD), and nothing pops up in my computer. Does anyone have any information on what it is?

Sounds like it's a region 2 DVD.

Edit: Actually, it's probably what the guy below me said. I don't have that disc around to check.

I just dug mine out when you mentioned that. I'm pretty sure it's the DVD Player Software upgrade that came with the PS2 DVD Remote (it's actaully a PS2 CD-ROM). IIRC, installing the software takes about 2MB on a memory card and besically enables Progressive Scan for DVD video playback.

There's a trick to actaully using the progressive scan though. You have to hold the Triangle button (I think) when the system starts up. My disc says Version 2.12, btw. Not sure how many different versions there are, although I would assume that the late-model fat PS2 (with built-in IR) and the slim PSTwo had a better version pre-installed.

This is exactly what the disc is. Mine came with the PS2 remote/IR sensor.
