I don't know if anyone has made a thread yet but they have all PS2 games for 75% off

Would love to find some complete games and grab some stuff in this sale, especially with some christmas gift cards, but I'd imagine everything is picked over by now, especially around here.

 
The only place that has anything I want around me is this TERRIBLE gamestop which I am never going back to. They don't care about the quality of the discs whatsoever. I remember I went to get 4 games from them and EVERY disc had significant scratches, not to mention the fact that two of the cases didn't even have a disc inside them. I went back to just say forget it and return everything and the employee starts slamming her stuff down and acting all pissed off because I was returning the games. I don't know WHY, but all the female gamestop employees around here are C-R-A-Z-Y.

It sucks. I can't think of how many times I've wanted a game and checked the store locations, and they're the only one around me that have the games.

Only Gamestop that sells Gamecube and PS2 games (I doubt they do anymore) in my area is about 40 miles away. Not worth it. Hopefully their online store is selling them.

 
Got in on the 75% off on PS2 games. 

I got a complete copy of Devil Kings for $1.35, disc only copy of Guilty Gear Isuka for $1.35, and a complete copy of PaRappa the Rapper 2 for $1.57.

Not too bad. 

Most of the gamestops around me have transfered their games out to other locations so this may be the only games I wind up getting.

I'm pretty sure that's the list of PS2 games still being sold online. Although... I don't think the 75% off is reflected on the site. I checked out Drakengard and it's the exact same price as it was weeks ago, so it's probably an in store thing only.

If anyone lives in Memphis tn go to to top dog. They got all the ps2 games from gamestop and are selling them for 1.99 or 3 for 5$
 
I'd really like to play games like rumble racing, downhill domination and splashdown rides gone wild again but I'm not sure if its worth the trip.
 
My Gamestop cleared out all there ps2 games almost a year ago now. They clearanced all there .99 priced games for .02 each. I got like 500 games for $15 lol

I just hope this 75% last for a bit.  Couple stores in my area i want to check out.  Being able to get Marvel Vs Capcom 2 for like $10 seems like a bargain.

This will probably last essentially indefinitely. The GBA stuff is still 75% off, and that has been several years since it started. (a store near me still has a few accessories)

Until you see the back of the disc. I bought 16 games and the quality of the discs ranged from just bad to godawful. For 67 cents or 45 cents I can't really complain but paying 10 bucks for that quality? I can't do it.

ALso, I am "That guy" I will ask to see each dics/cart and I ask if they have a box or booklet in the draer if i get no box or if i get a box but no book. Often times they have other boxes and hook me up cuz im nice about it and i apologize to them for being a stickler about these things. haha I have like $4.50 in store credit there, maybe ill get something for around $5 just because

 
Man, there was a Gamestop like 30 minutes from me that got a lot of the old PS2 stock around this time last year... I'm talking thousands of games (mostly disc only). I managed to find a CIB Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter there for $6.

I say was because about 5 months ago the pizza place 2 stores down caught fire and the Gamestop burned up with it. Sigh.

The stuff I want is pretty mainstream: SOCOMs, Onimusha, SSX tricky, Destroy All Humans, etc. Just ran a search via the site and only 2 or 3 games of my list of 20 showed up. Guess I'll save my fuel.

That is when you ask what price something is. I am going to be getting transfers. Instead of going in store to ask my local GS I will be handling it myself without a middleman. They just assume I am a employee when I make the call, I never say I am and I never correct them, and I usually end up with a manager who okays it.

 
Ugh, is there any way to find out online if a store in your area has any stock? I searched some old sports games and there isn't one with at least a collection of sports titles for about 20 miles sadly.

 
I really hope the stock locator is up to date, because I'm gonna hate driving 30 miles for jack squat like what happened to me and the Gamecube Fire Emblem.

Depending on your mileage you might save more in gas by not going, than the 75% you WOULD save. What game(s) are you hoping to get?

Eh, yea, it's gonna be cold as hell, but was eying the last Suikoden V in the area. Sadly my Gamestop a few months back had it's sizable PS2 collection moved to another store. Lame. I'd probably waste about $8 in gas getting it.

 
If the GC clearance was indication, it's gonna be slim pickings at stores and a crap ton of destroyed discs online. Starting ~2 years ago, I started to receive PS2 discs with cracks in the center... some with protective silver stickers but most completely uncovered. Most of them I returned to stores, who then put them right on the shelf for sale.

I really hate calling a Gamestop ahead of time to check, because you never know if they're gonna grab it for themselves or just don't give a damn to actually look.

Eh, stopping by the local GS to see where all the PS2 games have migrated to.

 
Just a heads up, the store I am at is getting all of the PS2 games sent to us from many of the stores within a 100 mile radius, because we seem to sell PS2 games without any problem. I've taken many in, and most of the games I've eyed have been scratched beyond recognition. Even some of the hard to find games that aren't quite fodder looked disappointing. Oh, and with that, at this point all of the games we receive now are, like spamfree said, in sleeves only.
