PS2 Guitars on the PS3??

Alright I have been all over google and I can not find a straight answer, so can anyone give me one here? Am I able to use my Red Octane Wireless SG Guitar with the PS2 to PS3 adapter to play Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Band on my PS3?

the only thing i've heard about that adapter is that it's glitchy and it doesn't show you what button you're holding down on the screen.

I tried this with a wireless guitar, not the same model you're talking about, and I would not recommend it at all. Just go grab a used PS3 one and save the headache.

Get a couple of Nyko Frontman guitars for $30 or less.

I have this one too. It works but has minor issues when triggering star power that makes it break combos, but I stopped using it once I got another PS3 discounted rhythm game bundle.
