So I was browsing success hk for some strange reason and I decided to splurg.

one of the items I found was this.

PROS

-you don't have to deal with the light sixaxis
-rumble!~ (except no games on the ps3 supports it...but it's there!)
-sure beats paying 50 bucks for a controller.

CONS
-this adapter is NOT a solution for Backwards Compatiblity Games (ps1/ps2)
-it's cheap but if you buy from the site I list, shipping usually offsets it.
-no motion sensor gameplay (does anyone take advantage of this?)
-you're tethered to the machine.

ultimately if you're someone who doesn't care to take advantage of the motion sensor/tilt controls, or is bothered by wired controllers, this is a cheap way of having more controllers. however this is not meant as a solution for those yearning to use dancepads and guitars. All and all I can't see myself using this adapter much (already have 4 sixaxises), but still this is a learning experience and I hope you CAGers read this before you buy it.

also out of a 5, I would have to say it's a 3.
 
Thanks for the real PS3 thread.

Sounds like a neat device. Kinda wish devs had secretly put rumble in those PS3 games.

Also, just about every PS3 utilizes the motion-sensing, most of it is optional.

consider the correction made...although with take I paid about 54...so it sure feels like 60.
 
Hmmm, I think I may wait until the Nyko one announced at CES comes out.

How are you able to get past the whole PS button thing?

I don't think you can. That's why he says it isn't a solution for backwards compatibility. But you can use PS2 controllers with PS3 games via the adapter.
 
Nyko announced at CES that they are making an adapter called "The Play Adapter" for $15 that WILL work with the PS2 controllers/guitars.
