PS2 save copier? Action Replay Max?

Nooo. DO NOT get an AR Max. This thing destroyed my game saves. Everything Datel makes, IMO, is complete shat. Get a Codebreaker instead.

I've had an AR for DS, PS2, and Xbox. I've never had a problem with any of them. I've used the PS2 AR probably 50 times for updated rosters for MVP 2005 and for different edit packs on Fire Pro Returns. If you can find a good deal on one, don't think twice about getting it. I'd say most errors that occur with them are user mistakes.

I'll vouch for Codebreaker as well. You can backup saves to a flash drive with your PS2's USB port with it. Directions are online.

I have no experience with ARM though. I just know Datel stuff, in my experience, has been crap (useless Datel Ethernet Go-Modem!!!!!!)

Seriously, don't get AR Max. I was copying a save file from it; I didn't have room and had to delete an older save, and it wiped out my entire memory card. It definitely wasn't user error because I'm always OCD about deleting stuff and made sure to delete just the one save.

If you're using it for cheat codes, it should be fine, but don't go anywhere near its memory card manager.

I have an Action Replay for GC and for some reason the cheats often freeze the game or stop working about half-way in. Also, my friend's DS Action Replay simply stopped working. I won't be purchasing another Datel product anytime soon.

The AR Max are fine. Ive used mine for years and never had a single problem with it freezing. I picked mine up at CC way back when for dirt cheap, so I would check them out.

I have both and have only liked codebreaker. My ARM for the PS2 just stopped working at one point. I loaded codes for it one day then the next day the same codes didn't work. I called the help line and they told me I put them in wrong. How were they wrong when the day before they worked fine. From that day I stopped using it for everything and went directly to codebreaker.
