Are there any PS2 slim deals now or happening soon? What is the best current price available?

I currently have a modded standard PS2, that I wish to replace with a slim model...

I'd eventually like to get one of these too, but I'm guessing we won't see a $100 new price point until PS3 hits store shelves next year.
 
Yeah, it will be next to impossible to find a new PS2 for less than $149. If you do, it's hot, or someone is going out-of-business, since no one, not even almighty Wal-Mart pays less than 148 for them.

You might wish to consider a used one if you are tight on cash.
 
I would expect a Price drop before Christmas. Especially around the 360 launch. Wait for it. I'm guessing $25-50
 
back about fall time, mayb last summer, eb did a deal trade in old ps2 and 5 games, get slim for free, i did it, they didnt have a restriction list, so i got sheapie 2 dolla games, and traded. best thing ever. i figure i came out ahead, got an extra controller and network adapter for $10. b/c 5 games x 2 a piece = 10, then the systems canceled......mayb they will bring it back sometime, take advantage of it
