I'm essentially clearing out what I have left of my PS2. I believe it's the V4 system. Bought it back in the summer of 2001ish with me being the only owner. System has been opened for cleaning and looks very clean cosmetically.
There is an occasional DRE but a gentle swab to the lens will fix everything, you'll hardly encounter this. The system WILL play all discs flawlessly when setup vertically, that is if you're too lazy to crack the system to clean it.
