PS2 to GC adapter combatibility?

I was wondering whether any of you had any experience using a PS2 to GC controller adapter with the Wii. The handful of reviews of the Mayflash adapter on Amazon suggest spotty compatibility. I'm mostly hoping to be able to use the Hori stick for PS2 that I just ordered, although I'd also like to be able to use my RetroCon.

I have no experience with this, but considering the fact that once u throw a GC game in the wii and boot it, its a gamecube, it should work. Its done thru hardware, so any GC acessory should work. Although my Freeloader doesnt work.
