PS2 to PS3 controller adaptor $4.49 shipped
I also felt it was a little slow on the XMB at first, but then Tekken 5 seemed fine. I think it was worth the five bucks.
has anyone played any street fighter games with this adapter. i ordered it and im waiting.
how is this adapter for dance pads for DDR?
I decided to try one and it's no good with my mad catz beat pads. The up and down and left and right directions are somehow tied together, so you can't hit left if your other foot is on right and vice versa. There also seemed to be some lagg on top of that.

Tested wiith Guitar Hero games on PS3:
I have a 60gb PS3 and tested this on Guitar HeroEncore Rocks The 80s,Guitar Hero 3 for ps2 & Guitar Hero Aerosmith for PS3 using the wired red Gibson guitar for PS2.
GH Encore 80s lacks the whammy function but is quite playable otherwise.
GH III is unable to use the strum bar to select in options screen. Can play songs ,but stuck on easy option,no whammy & must play songs in order.Tried various ways to somehow get scroll options, but No Go.
Aerosmith GH was a total no way, nothing worked. Also tried with my RB strat & could select options, but game totally fubar as soon as song started.

just wondering, why would one, besides using a special controller like the Guitars or dancemats, want to connect a DS2 to a ps3 when the DS3 and Sixaxis are pretty much the same controller with more features.

Well, once I get a PS3, I'd like to still be able to use my PS2 controllers for local multiplayer PS3 games instead of having to spend more $ buying new DualShock 3 ones. I'd wager that as a concern for some people.

For multi-player games of course. I have two six-axis controllers, and instead of buying another $40-$50 PS3 controller, I found it much more convenient to buy a $4.49 adapter. It makes sense to me considering I have 6+ PS2 controllers just sitting around that I can use. Saves me $45+. The question you should be asking, is why aren't more people buying these? Same functionality (other than motion controls), at a fraction of the price.

My REAL converter doesn't want to work with rumble. Is there some trick to getting it to work?

It also sometimes sends an up signal when pressing the analog button on the Dualshock 2 to send a PS button signal. Is this happening to anybody else?

I'm getting the same message. Plus, when I play GH: Rocks the 80s the buttons don't line up correctly. Green button=Blue string, Blue buttton=Orange string. And those are the only two buttons that work. Anyone getting this problem?

Well, the GH2 and 80s games always have been wonky on the PS3. I don't know if that's the converter's fault.

The company is going to send me another one. They didn't even ask for the first one back. Maybe they'll ask for it after I receive the replacement and confirm it works, but I don't mind. I like this customer service, despite the Engrish.

The replacement REAL does the exact same thing. What gives? I even reformatted my PS3 and tried games without loading my backup data first in case it was corrupted and caused problems with the rumble. No dice.

I don't know whether to keep these two converters because despite the lack of rumble they work or get a refund. For $15, this is two controllers for the PS3 I didn't have before, and sending them back for a refund would likely be cost ineffective, so I don't know...
