I really apprieciate this do you know the price?

If you don't have a Gamerush near you (I live in Northern NJ so there definitely isn't one close) Kmarts have a ton of PS3 60gigs left over in the gaming departments, they'll either be behind the glass panes like how Walmart does it, or just ask someone who works in the department, i've seen 4 of them on one trip there last week

Kmarts are a dime a dozen in NJ

I think they were going for 499. Could be lower now, if you need the place's address/phone # i can send you it.

Yes please would you get me that info thx................
Hey man can I also get the kmart location info? im out in queens.
Dude, are you serious? There's a huge KMart right there on Astor Place in Manhattan. You can just take the 6 train to Astor Place and it's like RIGHT THERE. Or you can use the magical place called the internet and use the store locator link on the kmart website.

I can verify that the Northern Kentucky Game Rush stores (Fort Wright and Union for sure) have 60 gig systems. I reported this in the Gamerush thread after I found about it on Saturday, got me one of their 60 gigs on Sunday morning.

Good deal if you can find one.
I'm in Zimbabwe, how can I get one of these?
I'm in Nigeria but I have some for sale. You can just wire me the cash.

How about I send you a check for let's say, $5000, and you give me change back in cash when I come pick it up?

Waiting anxiously to hear from you.

Idi

Picked the last one up last night at the Orlando UCF GameRush. $450 + tax - the $240 credit I built up from Beowulf and Monster Madness, and I think I got a pretty good deal.

Decided to hit up KMART in Bohemia, LI (NYC) and got the last one. Retail price of $500 though

No Game Rush in NY unless you go to Staten Island and not worth the $8 toll

I used $508 in value cards plus around $30 in cash to buy my 60 gb PS3 back on December 26th ($499 plus tax). Today I went back to Blockbuster with my receipt and the box my PS3 came in and asked for a price adjustment. I requested cash figuring I'd get $30 cash back plus some extra on a value card. The manager didn't give me a hassle at all and gave me ~$53 in cash! CASH!

I am so glad I found out about the lower price on these PS3s. Great day! :)

That's awesome . I'm glad you found out , $50 is alot of money .

I don't know where the nearest Gamerush would be. Their website only lets you search within 50 miles, and there's none within 50 of me.

backwards compatible using hardware, NOT software emulation like the 80GB ps3. therefore greater backwards compatibility. i think they changed to software emulation to lower cost and i THINK to run cooler (someone can correct me there)???

so it's the mack daddy, it's got the best backwards compatibility, card readers, 4 usbs, and wifi.

now, anyone want to help me out and check for a gamerush store in the 22303 area for me? i'm at work and that site is blocked :(

Somebody can buy me one for a quick $30 bonus + shipping, I am selling my old one to my bro.
Has to be sealed, NIB and with a recent receipt.

22303? Wow, thats Alexandria, where I live. I'm in 22311. Um, if you find one extra PLEASE let me know. I'll do the same for you. I drove around yesterday trying a few Kmarts, Walmarts, Toys R Us', and Targets, but didn't find one 60gb. I really love to just find one in a store somewhere.
I finally got the price adjustment. Returned $53.xx on a gift card (including taxes).
Which GR did you goto? Moreno Valley or Riverside?

I just called the one in Moreno Valley, they dont do the adjustment at all. The store manager there has always been a jerk though. They only accept 1 copy of a game for trade-ins.

I ended up buying a 60 at Kmart... though I may return it tomorrow. It was 499 plus tax, without a game, so I'm really unsure if it's worth it over a new 80 gb. Thoughts?

If you're going to play any PS2 games on it, yes its much better. If not, it's still comforting to know that you have the option to, without having to check compatibility first.

60gb has media slots for sd cards, 4 usb ports, wifi and full ps2 compatibility!

Much better then the 80GB.

You still have to check for BC with the 20GB and 60GB models...just not as much. I doubt the list is at 100%. It certainly wasn't at the time of release, and Sony has already made it quite clear that their focus on BC has greatly dimished, so I don't think they have been adding much to it lately. There probably aren't many games that flat-out don't work, but plenty still have specific hang-ups and stuff.

It was the one in Riverside, off La Sierra. It was a GR before being converted to a regular BB.

just picked up one tonight... they have 1 left...

Yup, I plan to play Ps2 and PS1 games on it, but after looking on Sony's site, pretty much all the games I own, and the PS2 games I've been interested in playing all seem to work without many issues. The only issues I see are with the PS1 games.

There was one at the BB in Cleveland - I went home to grab my copies of Two Worlds and The Darkness and went back to get the 60GB PS3 and it was already gone. I should of jumped.

Cool then; I never owned a PS2, so I wanted to have options. :)

Thinking about picking one up since I have a big PS2 library and hate software updates (like my 360). Is there any reason why I should avoid the 60gb version at all? Any problems or recalls I'm not aware of? Or did Sony just pull these cuz it was too expensive to make with the hardware bc?

Sony claims that, according to their market research, BC is no longer a major concern of most people looking to buy a next-generation console. So, yeah, in order to save some money, they removed the hardware.

The US 20gb and 60gb models have intermittent Bluetooth controller/remote disconnect issues that were remedied via a retooled Bluetooth antenna in the US 80gb/40gb models.

Also, the PS3 80GB with the latest 2.10 update looks like it has fixed a lot of the BC problems 80gb owners had when the SKU originally debuted.

Im in Michigan as Well and I say if you fail @ Gamerush try your luck at a SAMS club. I got my 60GB there.

he US 20gb and 60gb models have intermittent Bluetooth controller/remote disconnect issues

Ill let ya know when that happens.
