I didn't see the Hunter Edition on the website, but if you can find one locally it should be marked 39.98.

The only problem is finding one without the outer box being damaged for being a gut.

I have not seen the 360 version, but it will probably be the same price.

funny how in *My opinion* this game is pretty decent (like a 6-7/10)....but say modern turdfare is a piece of shit heh.

Thanks for posting this dude....*Really* considering trading my regular edition back to goozex and picking up the CE if i can find it locally since i've always really wanted that face hugger....
I have 360 hunter edition brand new. Why you want to trade? Is it any difference in the content between PS 3 and XBOX 360 ?
He might not have a PS3 but bought the copy for the CE stuff.

I'm still stuck trying to find a copy for a decent price on eBay. The Hunter Edition never came to Canada for some apparent reason. Well, not that I know of, anyway. It definitely wasn't available on any Canadian Web site nor was it available through any of my local game outlets. Oh, well. Hopefully I can find a decent deal.

I paid about 64 on ebay and was generally happy with condition. I would loved to have found it cheaper but most ebay prices are higher and this thread is evidence enough that even clearances many GS's don't have them.

I haven't played it yet but if it's a 6-7 i'll be happy. If its absolutely terrible I'll probably feel like I overpaid by 20.
Just because you dont want it doesnt mean someone else might not. If you dont like the deal keep on going, but dont make negative comments to the person thats trying to help you.
sorry but this is bullshit.

i, for one, WANT negative and positive comments. wtf is this, socialism? he is warning people of quality of product.

if i didnt even LOOK at this package @ 100$, i would seriously consider if not outright buy it at $40. but now that i see so many people sayings its crap, i wont even bother.

so, THANK YOU to all who chime in on lesser-popular games and movies on this forum.

For anyone who has ordered & received a replacement facehugger - I filled out the form Saturday afternoon but have not received any kind of email confirmation. Do they email anything or will the replacement just show up?

Awesome, thanks! :)
so you dont need to send anything back to them right?
No they don't want your broke ass facehugger. May I suggest gluing on to a neighborhood cat and watch the hilarity ensure?

The thing is, mine was not broke. I just want two of them :)
I was interested in this when it first came out, based on the demo, but the reviews scared me away. I think if I can find one for $40, I'm in - thanks OP! :)
That is exactly what I was thinking too. It also seemed like I was one of the few people who were excited about its release and preordered both ps3 and x360 version and ended up canceling both preorders 7 days after their release due to bad reviews. But if I could get my hands on the ce version at 40 new? I am in!
As long as you aren't an FPS regular, it's actually a whole lot of fun. I've never been a fan of multiplayer so I can't vouch for that, but the single player is very rewarding. Each character is represented faithfully and plays differently enough from the other characters to keep the game interesting. So, if you're a fan of the license and don't demand perfection in your FPS's, you'll definitely enjoy this title!
The multiplayer seems to be the main reason people mock this game. If you are like me and been playing games since the NES days there are never hardly any good movie type games. The MP in this is so bad i can not believe they even included it.

The single player feels like you are really there and i jumped way enough to make it really feel like you are in a new movie. The story is not bad but simple. The controls i think are fine to many people used to cod and anything less then cod they mock. This is a great rewarding single player game. An example would be when you pick alien you start out as a baby alien breaking free and escaping the room. Then you stealth kill people from the ceiling and everywhere else. The human campaign i finished and wow i really enjoyed it. I never jump in games much besides a few titles. I know The Thing was a pretty big hit back in the day but the scare meter is always tense like it was in The Thing for the ps2. You never know what is gonna happen every step you take.

There are minor flaws in single player and i actually give it 8 out of 10 for single player only. I did not try the predator story yet but will sooner or later.

If you like aliens or predator this is a must get just do not go on MP you will regret it. Only buy for the single player you have been warned.

I found 2 gamestops with the PS3 version of the game. I was hoping to find the 360 version, since I don't have a PS3 yet but went ahead and picked one up anyway. The facehugger had the broken tail so I put in for a replacement and I'll have superglue work its magic to try and fix up the busted one (3 broken parts).

Picked up the last copy of this game at the local GS for 360 today. The box looked pretty dinged up when he handed it to me but I decided to take a chance after making sure the top of the box was still taped. Mistake. After looking at it closer, the bottom of the box has tape over one of the flaps and all of the corners of the cardboard are worn off (looks like the tail is broken too, but at least I can get that replaced)...

Anybody know if this link is an accurate way of checking stock?

http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductStoreAvailability.aspx?Variant=200036

It shows at the top of the page "Aliens vs Predator Hunter Edition" but no stores listed underneath or really any info confirming store stock. Will probably just return it if I can't find another store to exchange it at, rather than chancing opening this beast up and being screwed when parts of it are missing or damaged...

Wow they are still doing that? Did they not go to court and lost many years ago for selling repackaged items as brand new? I bought stuff online that was new from them and it was repackaged over the years as well. They all worked fine and included everything but when the case is dirty on the wrap you know for sure it was used. I hope they go to court again for this stuff cause it is just wrong. I pay for brand new non opened prices i expect brand new not some resealed game. They got good at the security tape trick. I can easily remove the tape on all my games and put them back on like new. The way you can tell it was repackaged is the plastic they use to reseal them is slightly different. Feel the plastic and compare. I warn you if you go back and say they repackaged it you will lose the battle. My friend ended up getting banned from his local GS cause he caused a scene. He just bought a game and walked out and 2 mins later he walked back in and said it was resealed. They said he was trying to scam them and to get lost before he calls the cops. I laughed and so did they. You should google some stories they are funny as hell until it happens to you.

Sweet price point! I was disappointed when reading the reviews, but I'm a big enough (AvP) fan to take the plunge once it hit a good price.

Hopefully one of the 3 GS's near me has it for the PS3, ungutted.

Found an Xbox 360 version in Wilmington, NC...believe I found the last one in town, but there might be a PS3 version still at one of the stores. Considering I paid $100 only to have my original copy stolen, $40 to replace instead of another $100 is alright by me...such a beautiful Steelbook @.@

The main game is trash, but no one plays AvP for the single player . This game is and always has been about multiplayer as it is quite unique. There are two map packs for the game, but I'm scared to buy them since I doubt many people have them. Multiplayer is a blast when you get a full game going.

The reviews pushed what had the chance to be an okay game in the mind of gamers, to a failure that no one would even attempt to play (yet they give every call of duty game 10/10 reviews). If the reviews were higher this game probably would have done better. I'd like to find the 360 version of this for cheap (as I already own the game) but doubt I will.

Thanks OP, got a sealed 360 version at my local Gamestop. Since I had a $25 ERewards gift card it ended up being $14.98 out of pocket.

I imported the lesser version of this from Europe for about $50. It is just the steelbook, but none of the other physical crap. $40 including the physical crap is a steal -- though I'd obsessively store that junk somewhere. With the "Hunter Edition", I didn't have to make that excuse.

For those of you who ordered a replacement facehugger (or in some cases extra) did you get any sort of confirmation email from Sega or do they ship it out whenever and you know when it arrives?

From what someone has said, it'll just ship out. You wont get any kind of confirmation/shipping emails, and about a week to be delivered.

I found a store with the Xbox and PS3 version with multiple copies. Yorktown Plaza Shopping Center Cockeysville, MD

Thanks for the post OP......drove a solid 40 miles to find the PS3 version, but am pretty damn happy due to being a huge fan of Rebellion's work on the Jaguar game way back when!

to those who picked up the 360 version whats the SKU on it? I have tons of gamestops around here but don't feel like driving around for just one item.

Has anyone requested a new facehugger and received it already? It almost been a month and have not received anything yet.

Likewise.

And to boot I was playing this game when my PS3 died (again). I think it may be a Blu-ray drive failure. Going to try and see what's wrong with it tonight and clean it out. :bomb:

Yep - still waiting for the replacement facehugger.
Has filled the required form, opened 2 tickets at Sega's website, sent numerous mails & has almost given up now :wall:
Surprise me Sega!!

You know what they should do for the next Aliens-related video game special edition? They need to include life-sized facehugger that pops up at you when you open the box.
