PS3 Controller $10 Price drop at Circuit City
Does this count as gaming hardware?
I'm assuming it'd be considered an accessory.

I'd wait on purchasing a new controller, at least until GDC. With all the rumors swirling around about a rumble controller, it'd suck to purchase a new controller a few days before they announce a rumble one. It's all rumors though.

Well, there is also the statement made by Sony about the newer, better calibrated Six Axis controllers that aren't rumble but still better than the current batch. Either way, I'd wait until GDC.

rumble is cool but not that big of a deal for me, when i got my ps3 and i also go another controller and if a new one comes out i will probably just trade one of mine in and pay the difference
so sale or price drop?
Either way there's no rush. I see these for $40 so often it's hard to remember what the actual MSRP is.

I don't know - playing something like Motorstorm feels kind of weird without the rumble, but for most games I'm inclined to agree with you.
Thanks, man--I didn't realize Amazon.com had them for $40, too.
so does buy.com and you can use GCO to make it 30
rumble is utterly useless
There are games that require the rumble feature, like MGS2.

I just went to order one of these on there, and the usual free shipping option is not showing, so its coming up with a total of $36.17. Unless there is some reason for the free shipping not coming up.
