(PS3) Devil May Cry HD Collection $12.73 on Amazon.com

not used to this new CAG layout, I edited the thread title and a duplicate post came up, sorry everyone!

In for one.

Never played any of these but I love GoWs, working on ascension now, and enjoyed the PS2 Prince of Persia's so we shall see.

If Amazon happens to sell out, you can also check Target B&M stores in their used game section for a copy.  It is competitively priced at $12.99 (albeit, pre-owned...but like-new condition).

Saw this "used" @ target yesterday for 12.99, employee told me their used games are usually 12.99, not bad for 3 good games

Ahh I really want this HD collection.  But I have just purchased Jak and Daxter HD, Sly HD collection, Mass Effect Trilogy, and preordered the Metal Gear Solid Legacy bundle (Granted, I have already played and beat the entire MGS series long ago, so my backlog doesn't technically include those lol).  So that's 9 games I have to play... I think I will wait until this drops below 10, or until I lower the amount of games I have to play haha.

Not much of an HD collection. They all still look quite dated.  A lot of the HD enhancements aren't noticeable, unless perhaps you had the original running side-by-side.  The camera issues are still there.  I always felt like this was an overrated series.  Having played the three games back to back in this collection, I still definitely feel that way.  Hence why I sold my HD collection a while ago.  I'd recommend first checking out some YouTube videos for anybody new to these games. You might get at least a little sense of how bad/dated the controls are for these games.  Each game is different, for sure. The first game is horrible, imo.  It hasn't aged well at all. It feels like the old Capcom Resident Evil tank controls/engine (probably is).  Feels like it was originally designed for the PS1.

It's definitely more for those that played the originals and want to relive them.  If it's your first time, prepare to be underwhelmed.  And no, the story isn't that great or deep, either.  If you're just getting it for the story, definitely just watch it on YouTube.  I've seen deeper plots in porn.

Cruel but true. Mechanic/control wise, DMC3 is still airtight and smooth as silk. At $12 the bundle is an easy buy. I love this series, but I agree with much of what you said.

Thanks for the info. I was considering buying this because I've never played any of these games. Since the game is not really good and because it looks like shit I'll just stick with never playing them. Save me ~$13.
