PS3 has no games? Xbox doesn't either!

I continually read that the PS3 only has 2 good games, Motorstorm and RFoM.... This is pretty much true. However, the same people saying that are quick to say that the Xbox360 has such a great library of games. What exactly does the 360 have to play right now?

1. Gears of War - yeah, that's a pretty sweet game.
2. Niche titles like Viva Pinata and Command & Conquer
3. Titles that look like Xbox1 games, Dead Rising, Saints Row, and Crackdown
4. XBL games. Geometry Wars was the original, but SSHD for PSN is a better game. PSN and XBL games are pretty much even at this point.
5. Racing, racing, shooter, shooter. How many of each do you really want?


When push comes to shove, neither system has much for great games right now. God of War II and Halo II are two of the better games right now, and they are last gen.

I'm not sure I would agree with Motorstorm being a great game, I played it for about 10 minutes before moving on to bigger and better things.

The PS3 has a ton of great games; granted they're PS2 games, but they're great non-the-less (and UPSCALED). Honestly though, I think come January of 08 people will stop saying this. We'll have Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Haze, Ratchet and Clank, SOCOM (hopefully), Folklore, Hot Shots 5, UT3 (yes people, UT3), Drake's Fortune, Time Crisis 4 (hopefully, hopefully, hopefully).

Granted, some of these may slip into 08, but the PS3 doesn't have a crappy line-up like it did in the beginning of the year. Alot of exclusives (albeit maybe timed exclusives) coming the way of the PS3.

I definately wouldn't say that the 360 doesn't have any games though; they've got a pretty solid library at this point which will only intensify. The nice thing is that in the next 4 months the PS3 will stop being a console of ports and start being a console of co-releases.
 
LOL. XBLA has FAR FAR more games than PSN does and FAR better games as well. The 360 has a great library full of exclusives, ports, multi-platfor titles and everything in between. The 360's library has the variety of that on the Ps2 (or it will in time) .. Sorry but you're just a stupid fanboy. I don't even own a 360 but I can at least recognize that it has alot of solid titles.
 
I think my goal of being a terrible PS3 Fanboy here has succeeded. Respect!

I still would like to see somebody come up with a list of games for the 360 that doesn't include Halo3/Mass Effect/Bioshock/other games that aren't even out yet.

ever played Resistance, or super stardust HD. Both are AAA titles in many gamers minds. But then again your mind sounds like it might be really out there for starting this thread topic.

You are listing a bunch of multi-platform games, some older games, and some games that just aren't that good.

Bioshock looks really cool, but it isn't out yet.

You're right, to some degree. Many (although not all) are multiplatform. However, from what I've read (from numerous sources, although I personally haven't played them on both systems, so can't confirm nor deny), the 360 versions look and/or play better (better framerates, smoother controls, etc.). Wouldn't be too surprised, seeing as how Sony systems have been notriously hard to program for, and the fact that most of them were pushed out to make a quick buck. As for "games that just aren't that good," to each his own.

On a serious note I own both a PS3/360. Even though I like my PS3 better then my 360 I would say both have their own great games.
 
So if AAA games are good, someone should come out with a AAAAA game. I mean, if 3 A's are good, 5 A's are better!

Would end the console war the minute the game came out.

PS3 having no good games is the same myth that's been going around forever about the PSP having no good games. Currently, I own 11 disc based PS3 games along with around 11 downloads. I'm enjoying most every game/download I have, so I'm happy.

Personally, I prefer to not compare consoles, but in my case, I find PS3 and 360 very comparable game wise (Neither one has any significant advantage over the other IMO, unlike the difference between PS2 and Dreamcast to me (where I liked DC way better)).

Baja Blast tastes like ocean water, I couldn't finish mine.

That new Halo 3 flava of Mountain Dew is pretty good though.

EDIT - And if Dead Rising looks like regular Xbox game, I'll eat one of my dogs.
