For anyone needing a cheap spare. Keep in mind it doesn't have rumble or sixasis...and requires a USB port. Think of it as a PS2 controller with the home button ;)

The website is legit, I've ordered a few things from them before. Their shipping is long (by Amazon standards :p) it takes about a week or so.

Currently, Amazon doesn't have it in stock but it retails for $39.99. It has decent reviews, too.

For PS1 gamers, this controls has the ability to force analog mode. So games like Final Fantasy VII and Symphony of the Night can be played with the analog rather than d-pad. Can't do that with regular PS3 controller.

I'm having the same conflict of interest as well. I want to buy the remote, however I don't trust the website. Has anyone here purchased there before?
 
I've used the website before, nothing fishy but some of the deals the shipping is more than the item such as $.99 item and $4.99 shipping etc. I would normally get this deal too but the only aftermarket controllers i want must be xbox 360 config, or that interesting hks racing controller heh
 
I can also vouch for the site. They are indeed legit and have some pretty good buys every once in a while, so it's worth a bookmark.
 
Thanks for the reply. I decided to purchase it. I already have 3 Official PS3 remote, figure I give this a try for 12 dollars. I rarely have four people at my house willing to play games to justify buying another Sony DS3. If it comes to worse, I'll use it on the PC or watch plastic as it burns.
 
Please note that this is a "factory recertified" controller (have to click on "read more" for that tidbit). That should probably be added to the post. Still not a bad deal, if it works.
