PS3 Pre-ordering

Didn't see a thread on this, apologize if a similar one was started

Has anybody tried to pre-order the PS3?

I tried to a CDWorld this past weekend but they are going to do the "BUNDLE THING" where the customer is FORCED to buy 3 games with the system on launch in order to get one.

I wanted to give a heads up for anybody that is preordering to ASK if they will have you buy a bundle when getting the system. It seems to be the new trend when new system launches.
 
Apparently, EB Games / GS will not be taking preorders for the system until September (that's what I was told). They are taking preorders for games though. The only problem is that games won't be the problem, it will be finding hardware.

Typically, EB Games / GS don't do bundles at B&M, but might online.

I was also told that each EB would only be allowed to take 30 preorders. After those 30, it would be first come, first serve.

I guess we'll see for sure when we get closer.

:rofl: I think it would probably take them 6-12 months to get 30 PS3s at each EB/GS in the country.

Games don't matter. If the PS3 launched without any games, Sony would still sell 10 million of them. Stop worrying about games. The PS3 is not a gaming machine. :shame:
