Hi, i was in the area looking for a PS3 and I am hoping to spend around 200 to 230. I've seen a few 40 gigs go for about that much on ebay, I was wondering if anyone thinks their will be a good deal this black friday or not. Or if i should go ahead and get one from ebay. I don't care what kind of PS3 I get, just as long as it works and with in that price range.

A brand new PS3 will be $299.99 regardless of BF or not (with a few exceptions like Dell). If you're on budget, buy a used one.

Watched a few 40 gigs go for 200 plus shipping. I can do that, I didn't know they weren't in stores anymore. I was thinking about trying to get a used from gamestop with the edge discount. Is that a good deal? How much are they at gamestops.

I'd definitely wait for BF - they're still going to be $300, but with the bundles the value is MUCH better. And if you don't want the games that are included in the bundles, you can sell them & get back some of your money that way. Plus, I'd much rather have a new one w/ a warranty than a used one that may or may not have had problems.

Yeah I'd prefer that as well. Sadly I won't have but the same amount of money at BF. New is much much more comfortable!

I'm debating the same thing myself. While I could get a ps3 with a 40gig or 80gb for like under $220 on ebay I'm risking what condition it will be in. I never worried about such things but after having a ps2 fail, and a 360 it was nice to have a new system under warranty.

I wouldn't debate it but the BF deals at Walmart and Best Buy are pretty sweet. If you take Infamous and Batman you can flip those on ebay/half for like $30-35ish each. So after tax your only spending a bit more than a used older ps3.

If you do get a used one be careful, alot of the 40gb and even 80gb have the six axis and not dual shock 3. So if you want a dual shock your going to have to spend another $40-50 anyway.
