PS3 vs. Xbox 360 Sales
Whether or not something is a good deal is not objective.

A ferrari at a 20% discount (for example) is not a good deal unless and ONLY UNLESS you are in the market for a ferrari. Its overpriced at full price, and its STILL overpriced at 20% off.
Really?! DMK I think its safe to assume that if you're checking prices then you ARE in the market for buying one. What's the determination that makes you feel that 20% off a particular product (in case ferrari) is still over priced, are you comparing it to other cars that have the same specs, and top speed, or is that just your opinion?

To bring this back on point... If you compare the features of the PS3 to the 360, at the same price point, then I think that the PS3 is a good deal.
Well, everything is relative. A ferrari at 20% off is a good deal regardless of whether or not you're in the market for one.

And everything about comparing the price of the two consoles is pretty much impossible to please everyone. Personally for me, if I ever got a 360 and wanted to go online wirelessly, I would bridge a network connection with my laptop. I do like, however, being able to play online when I feel like it knowing I don't have a recurring fee or anything. But the 360 (the pro model) comes with the headset which is nice. But then again, if you already have a bluetooth headset (like I do) then you're set with the PS3. At this point, bluray isn't the big thing for me, since the movies cost like 2-3 times as much as a DVD. I don't know, there's just too many variations to compare the two.
I ended up bridging my laptop, to the 360, however its not good for me because my wife sometimes needs the laptop... so i actually do NEED wireless, and I'd love to get one, but I can't.. .not for 99.99 that's about 6 or 7 games (cheap) worth of money.

You can get wireless for less than $30 with some work. No need to pay the $99.99 for the official Microsoft solution.

I heard that a while ago... even asked the question on the 360 boards.. .couldn't find nothing... if you can help me... I'd appreciate it.

If you can find me a 30 dollar wireless adapter I'll join xbox live.

Assuming you already have a wireless router in your house, I'd think you could find a deal on a wireless bridge for $30 or so. I've never needed one, as my cable modem/router are right by my TV so I've never done any price checking personally.

When I had a 360 I just used the wireless connection on my laptop to get online.

I can't believe MS charges $100 for theirs when online gaming is their big thing.

PM sent.

BTW, correct me if I'm wrong anyone, Xbox Live should cost around $3/month.

You're correct and if a person that wants it exerts any effort at all to find a deal (like myself and most cags I'd assume) you would see that paying $50 a year is ridiculous. It's not hard at all to get it for somewhere in the $30 range.
