So this was just a -up on the part of the manager or whoever price-matched? Drats! Wouldn't mind picking up an XbOne w/ Kinect for $400. Friggin' Halo . I suppose a deals are to abound come Black Friday time, but those sku's will be missing the Kinects...

they should have black Friday bundles WITH KINECT also. they aren't discontinuing the SKU just adding a 2nd one. Walmart, Target, Kmart, Best Buy, and other Retailers still sell both the Kinect and No Kinect SKU's of the 360s and have for years. There no reason for stores not to do the same for Xbox one and there was never no mentioned that the SKU with Kinect was being discontinued only that a new SKU was being added.
