PS4 Games to get on release

Late Night Jimmy Fallon has Knack and PS4 on. Watching the show now to get a feel for Knack.

Edit: so I just finished watching the pretty much 7 minute demo, and it reminded me a lot of the Lego games. Will definitely pass on Knack till it drops in price.

nobody was really discussing here anyway, but it looks like the crew has been changed from launch day to launch window as amazon and ign now have it listed as feb/q1 2014. it had been listed on ign as a launch day title. the division just says 2014 so that might not even be a launch window game. looks like ill be getting killzone and playing the ps plus games, while i wait and see some feedback on a few others. NFS rivals looks good but it also just looks like more of the same thing we've been playing for 10 years.

If I end up rolling with the PS4 I'll be getting BF4 and Watch Dogs to start, and then probably just end up playing planetside.

 
Right now I have a preorder down for Watch Dogs (used my trade-in credit from that amazon deal).  I plan on getting Killzone and AC4 at launch as well.  

I've been selling some extra crap I have lying around on ebay to work up cash for launch, and at this point I'm only about 1 or maybe 2 sales away from having everything covered.  Still debating a camera, but will probably wait on that unless they give a really compelling reason to own one at launch.  

 
It might be worth it for those getting a PS4 to get any cross-gen titles on the newer console, I basically keep hearing that nobody's even shown current gen versions of COD, Watchdogs, BF4, ACIV, etc because they at least comparatively look atrocious and have all been handed off to "B" and sometimes even "C" teams if not another developer entirely.

 
Going for Watch Dogs and COD Ghosts. Those are my two most wanted. Definitely going to pick up Battlefield 4,The Order, and Infamous once a deal arises. I'm sure there will be a B2G1 or other deals on Black Friday.

Infamous probably won't be out till closer to X-mas. BF deals will be scarce IF any for next gen. (Most companies will be starting to clear space for next gen by selling current gen cheaper, however.)

Your best bet would probably be a B2G1 from Target as they are usually known to do that to coincide newly released consoles.

Good point. I really hope some updated release dates come out soon..I'm holding on to some credit at best buy and gamestop for preorders but it's tempting to spend it! Ahh!
 
Man, I am really not feeling any of the launch titles for either system.  Of course the one big advantage the PS4 has (and the reason my preorder of that is rock solid) is PS+.  I don't have to shell out launch game prices for what will end up being lesser quality titles (compared to later games) just to have something to play.  I'll just play whatever PS+ gives me ;).

I was probably going to get Knack but now I'm not so sure.  It does seem like I'd regret spending $60 on that.  I pretty much can only justify $60 on RPGs that give me 100 hours of gameplay or something AAA like Mass Effect.

But I have no interest in CoD.  Watch Dogs looks like something I'd try at some point but no way for $60.  I might end up getting NBA 2K14 for my son.  But I'd like to know if it will be nerfed compared to the PS3 version.  I know that those sports games sometimes have poor ports to next-gen with maybe nicer graphics but fewer features than the same game on the previous generation had.  But maybe that is just something EA did.

I'd say later, maybe March if we're lucky? It's in that nebulous "launch window" target. Just ask anybody who owns a Wii U, launch window means squat.

There probably won't be any deals for next gen stuff this year since this is the console launch year. There will be deals on this year's stuff next year obviously and this year there will be massive deals on current gen stuff as stores begin to dump inventory before it depreciates.

 
I have on preorder Killzone, Call of Duty Ghosts (because that's all my friends play), Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed IV.  Also looking forward to Warframe since I love co-op stuff.
