I bought the PStwo and opened it up and went online with a few games. Lets review.

LLLLLLLAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGG (my connection is 8 MB....yes, 8 MB....dont even sneeze in the direction of thinking its my connection)

Not only that, but both games arent really good online. Are there others? Maybe a puzzle game?

Heres the list of games I played:

Fight Night 04:
I fell asleep waiting to connect. Really, I did. And when I finally got a game on, it felt like I was fighting Agent Smith. By the time one punch would land, I was down.

2nd Hour - "Jesus, fu(k me in the eye socket this is boring....oh wait, that guy's walking on air!"

STILL LOADING THE BOARD. AFTER 6 DAYS. But I have high hopes for this board in 2006.

Spawning in the opposing team's base when your whole team is on the other side of the board is ghey, anyway you slice it.

I have a graphical depiction of what being on Online with the PS2 felt like.

unless you have the hard drive RE:O is not worth it.

The best game for PS2 online is Ratchet and Clank 3. That game is off the hook (and these are my impressions from the beta 5 months before release, with only one gameplay mode and 2 maps)

RE: Outbreak's load times were pretty bad, but since you have a HD (or i'm assuming, since you played FFXI), it cuts it down.

Funny story, Capcom anticipated 125,000 people at launch.. they got around 500,000.. the servers were down ALL launch week and weekend..

You're right. Its a bad game cause its a shitty excuse for an otherwise good franchise.
 
Your conection must blow then, dude, because PS2 online for me is AWESOME. Almost no lag . . . SOCOM II rocks . . .all the ESPN sports games are ill . . . even Medal of Honor wasn't half bad. SSX3 is PERFECT.

You best check your connection, son. Maybe your router is screwy or you have cheap ethernet cords. Trying opening a few ports on the router.

Nice. PS2 online does suck. If I didn't need the Network Adaptar for my 160GB harddrive I would have sold it long ago.

I only play one game on PS2 Online and thats FFXI, But that was just casuse I had to remove it from my PC because I needed to use my PC for work and wanted to keep playing FFXI.

The PS2 SUCKS for online games.

I totaly agree. Auto Modelista was the first game I tryed online for my PS2 and there was no one there.

Xbox has won the Online War hands down. anyone who thinks the PS2 is doing a good job needs to (for lack of a better way to say it) Take Sony's dick out of their ass and acttually look at what Microsoft is doing.
I am anything But a Microsoft fan, infact I down right Hate Microsoft, The Xbox was the last console I bought. I don't suport MS. I uses MacOSX and Linux. But I have to admit they did Online play right. Sony just doesn't get it, Playstaion Online sucks.

I agree....I think Nintendo played a smart move.

They tryed to be nice about it and make it sound professional...but I think they new that online play was limited on the gamecube (since it wasnt designed for it) and they said "fu(k it, next go around" That makes since, I wont play online with the PS3 because of this. And the Xbox next will be my first purchase from the new console war.

But I am getting a PSP....I dunno, yea I suck. But the DS reeks of Virtual boy, I cant bring myself to get one.
 
I agree that PS2's online campaign is pretty lame, but Socom 2 and Pandorra Tommorow are both great online.
 
I think it works fine. The only thing I wish it had was a universal name for all the games. Other than that I don't care.

I played alot of PC games before this so I'm used to the PS2 setup. I'm not in love with xbox live like most people although I hope PS3's online setup is a tiny bit more like xbox live but I don't care about any of the new features coming out on xbox live.

But you pay for it.. in more ways that one.
I'm sorry, but the userbase for Xbox live is just ridiculously immature.
I wouldn't let a child play any of the more popular Xbox live games, and I don't even want to put up with it myself.

Awesome, you took the worst Xbox games (3 of them are ancient) and compared the experience with the experience of 5 of the newest and best PS2 online had to offer.

So yea, you're right....PS2 online is at BEST, the WORST the XBL has to offer. I couldnt of said it myself! Thanks!

Yea, because people sit in the queues LONGER than the two hours it takes Socom fags to pick what gun looks best with their grenades. Not to mention the constant bitching of people who dont want to be terrorists. Did you know that this game costs only 5 bucks if you buy it for the computer? It's called Counter-Strike on the PC though. I didnt want the cheating, the retards, and 4 years old 1st person shooter engine....so I picked something I could at least get in a vehicle. Mechassault is a completely new idea.....Getting in Mechs, jacking people, flying....... but keep playing Socom, the 2nd is pretty much the same as the first.... Why even buy the second one..? Oh yeah, the cheating was rampant on the first. Oh well, it sucks to get fucked out of 50 bucks....but at least you payed another 50. When Halo 2 came out, it was a growth...a completely different game. Socom was the same old shit, different maps. You just payed 100 bucks for the same old shit cheaters ruin everytime. And yes, DNAS has cheaters.
